How To Be A Black Man – By Jesse Jackson

According to Jesse Jackson, Rep. Artur Davis (D-AL) isn’t really a black man, because he voted against the healthcare bill.

Now, I’m no race expert, but I would venture to guess that Artur Davis is at LEAST as black as Obama, and perhaps even doubly so.

Anyway, Jesse Jackson said, a few nights ago, “We even have blacks voting against the healthcare bill from Alabama. You can’t vote against healthcare and call yourself a black man.”

Really, Jesse?  Really?

But you guys, Davis’ response was SO AWESOME.  He said, “One of the reasons that I like and admire Rev. Jesse Jackson is that 21 years ago he inspired the idea that a black politician would not be judged simply as a black leader. The best way to honor Rev. Jackson’s legacy is to decline to engage in an argument with him that begins and ends with race.”

I cannot FATHOM a more appropriate, reasonable, and perfectly stated response.  I was so impressed by this.

The story got even more interesting when Davis’ primary opponent, Ron Sparks (who is white), criticized Davis’ vote against the bill, saying, “He was the only Black Caucus member to vote against it. I don’t get it.”

Well, here’s something to chew on, Sparky.  Not all black people think the exact same way.  They are what we like to refer to as INDIVIDUALS.  I know that might be a new concept for you, but it’s knowledge that might come in handy someday.

GAWD.

Anyway, why is Jesse Jackson still allowed to speak about anything in public?  The dude is a complete embarassment.

Question.

When a total imbecile like Robert Gibbs has enough sense to say that the disagreements the public has with Obama aren’t based on race, what does that say about the jokers who still insist that race is the reason behind any opposition Obama faces?

I mean, seriously, liberals. ROBERT GIBBS even knows better. That’s GOT to make you feel ridiculous for buying into the racist thing.

I find it interesting that Stephen Hess, featured in the video, says that even though it’s not a very large percentage of Americans who believe that race is the motivation behind the opposition, he believes that the folks who ARE racist are loud about it. I would like him, or ANYONE for that matter, to point to ONE EXAMPLE of a reasonable or prominent or in-the-public-eye conservative who has made ANY COMMENT about Obama’s race. I haven’t heard ANYONE be loud about it, or even mention it as a factor, EXCEPT FOR LIBERALS.

Sean Hannity asked Lawrence Guyot that question on his radio show today – specifically, he asked Mr. Guyot to name one incident where race has been brought up by conservatives when discussing or disagreeing with any of Obama’s policies. And of course, he had NOTHING. He kept saying, “Oh – there’s lot of examples” and then failed to list EVEN ONE.

This argument has become so ridiculous that, as Hannity’s OTHER guest, Niger Innis said, it’s doing nothing but a disservice to the President. It’s making the people who keep throwing out the race card look like desperate fools, unable to argue facts.

So, well played, liberals. Keep it up. And here’s to 2010.

To The Surprise Of No One, Rangel Decides It’s Time To Throw Down The Race Card.

2009-09-03_204739

Just when I think Charlie Rangel couldn’t make himself look any worse, he demonstrates that I grossly underestimate him.

According to this, Chuck threw out the ole race card the other night, claiming that the fight for the Democratic healthcare legislation is the same as the fight for civil rights.  This is what he said:

Why do black people have to bargain for what is theirs? Why do we have to wait for the right to vote? Why can’t we get what God has given us? And that is the right to live as human beings and not negotiate with white southerners and not court the votes. Just do the right thing.“

It’s white sourtherners who are standing in the way of government run healthcare.  OF COURSE!!!

Rangel, in addition to being a complete tax evading, lying, bribing jerk, has taught his aides well.  His chief of staff and legal counsel are among over 10 of his staffers ON THE HOUSE WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE who have had to file amended financial reports recently.   Nice!

The Washington Post is demanding that Rangel step down as committee chair, because the Washington Post is comprised of people with Actual Brains.  They said, “Much is expected of elected officials. Much more is expected and demanded of those entrusted with chairmanships and the power that comes with them, especially when it involves the nation’s purse strings. From all that we’ve seen thus far, Mr. Rangel has violated that trust continually and seemingly without care.”

I’m sure it’s white southerners’ fault that Charlie “forgot” to report half of his income.

WAAAAAAH!!!

According to this, NY Governor David Paterson is kiiiind of a big fat crybaby.

Paterson has decided that the reason he’s having such a rough go of it these days is because he’s black.

Sigh.

I mean, why didn’t he just go all out and say it’s because he’s black AND blind?  Because that would have been like the ultimate in pity politics.

Anyway, since it’s not any fun at all to admit your own incompetence, Paterson has decided to play the race card, and actually said “Part of what I feel is that one very successful minority is permissible, but when you see too many success stories, then some people get nervous.”

What in the holy hell?  Is he actually suggesting that now that we have a bi-racial president, the American people have reached their maximum black-person-in-a-position-of-power tolerance level?  Is he for real???

Paterson also totally went off the deep end this past Friday, when he told a columnist at the Daily News that he’s a victim of “an orchestrated media campaign” to get him out of office, and that he believes Obama is next.

To give credit where it’s due, Obama’s spokespeople had the sense to distance themselves from this preposterous claim.  But Paterson can’t seem to stop talking about it.  Despite the fact that the state is in budgetary crisis and the Senate leadership there is acting like a bunch of toddlers, Paterson says, “It seems I have to work twice as hard as others.”

BEFORE the Governor spouted off on Friday, his job approval rating stood at 23%.

I’m sure all this hand-wringing and whining and crying will help give him a boost (snort).
