And now, check out this link, in which Obama jokes about Snooki and the rest of the Jersey Shore cast in his White House Correspondents’ dinner speech.
A-HA, Obama!!!!! You might be able to get away with lying about saving and creating jobs, but you will NOT get away with lying about knowing who Snooki is.
We’re on to you.
Is it really too much to ask that our representatives have a shred of integrity? Is it that difficult?
In today’s news of lying liars, we have Congressman Mark Souder (R-IN), who has resigned today after acknowledging that he couldn’t keep it in his pants. “I sinned against God, my wife and my family by having a mutual relationship with a part-time member of my staff. In the poisonous environment of Washington, D.C., any personal failing is seized upon and twisted for political gain. I am resigning rather than put my family through a painful drawn out process.”
Does anyone else find it odd that he specified the staff member was part-time? How is that relevant?
I think it’s pathetic that Mark made the whole “poisonous environment” crack about DC. You know what, Mark? It’s nice that you’re trying to save your family from the EVIL POISON of DC politics, but you’re the one who had the freaking affair. Democrats didn’t have it for you.
GAWD.
And on the other side of the aisle, we’ve got Attorney General Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) running for a seat in the Senate, lying about serving in Vietnam. I mean, where does someone get the balls to not only falsely claim to have served in Vietnam, but to say it TO audiences filled with Actual Veterans of the Vietnam war?

According to this, Obamacare is going to cost more than originally thought. SURPRISE!!!
I find that entire article positively hilarious. The CBO said today that the healthcare legislation passed a couple months ago could add $115 billion more to healthcare spending over the next 10 years than they previously reported. That includes $10-20 billion in administrative costs to government agencies to actually carry out the law, as well as $34 billion for some health centers and $39 billion for “Indian care.” Say whaaa?
Republicans said all along that these costs should have been included in the original budget estimate, but see, that would have made Democrats look like their plan wasn’t going to save any money, so they didn’t include them. You know what the CBO said was the reason their earlier estimates didn’t include this $115 billion in spending? Because “they simply had not had enough time to run the numbers.” Ya think? Could that maybe have had something to do with the fact that this whole disaster was rushed through like it was a total emergency, even as the GOP was PLEADING for common sense and for Democrats to just slow the freak down so people had time to do stuff like, you know, READ THE BILL.
And guess what? Costs are expected to go up even more, because there are all sorts of programs bundled into the law which are just thrown in there without setting funding levels for them.
You may recall that Democrats made sure the original estimates from the CBO made it look like this plan would reduce the deficit by $143 billion over 10 years. But if Congress goes ahead and approves all of the extra spending outlined in the bill, which they of course will, the savings they claimed they’d achieve are going to be basically thrown out the window.
The most laughable part of the article was when a White House spokesman said that Obama would “demand that added spending be offset with cuts in other domestic programs.” Riiiiiiiiight. Because Obama is famous for reducing spending and cutting stuff.
To the folks out there who have been holding out hope and remaining on the fence about this issue, I hate to say we told you so, but we’ve been telling and have told and did tell you so. Over and over again. So if there’s anyone left out there who Actually Believes Democrats when they spout off all the nonsense about cost savings and deficit reductions tied to this healthcare plan, just remember this post. And then remember the other posts we’ve written which warned you about long waits and reductions of services and shortages of doctors and premium increases and all the horrific things that go along with a single payer system. Because unless we do some significant damage to this monstrosity of a law by way of some serious liberal turnover in Congress this fall, that’s precisely where we’re headed.
A clever and competent reader sent me this link, which shows Obama ripping on Hillary Clinton’s idea of mandating health insurance coverage.
Remember when Obama hated the idea of forced health insurance coverage and taxing people making less than 200k and taxing employer sponsored insurance plans? And remember when he loved the idea of bi-partisanship and transparency?
Ahh. Those were the days.
I won’t hold my breath for an answer on this.

You ready for this? Harry Reid thinks that the healthcare monstrosity is all paid for, you guys. It’s FREE!!!!!!! And he doesn’t know what “world – what SPHERE” – conservatives are living in.
Um, Harry – that would be the sphere of existence where I’m going to have to pay out the butt for something you feel superior to participating in yourself. This “FREE” thing he speaks of will have 85% of us with health coverage seeing our premiums go up. Not to mention the fact that our liberty is at stake. And it’s yet another $2 trillion government takeover. But yeah…it’s hard to see why people with Actual Brains would want to stifle the crap out of this.
I’m just glad I’m living in that “other sphere.” I like it here. Quite frankly, I don’t want to live in the land of age-spotted senility, thank you very much.
Last night, it was a 60-39 vote. The Dems rammed it through for the next debate to take place after Thanksgiving. And just in time for Christmas. Yay!

So, you know how Democrats and the White House are all in a tizzy over the “You LIE!” outburst from Wednesday night?
Well, according to this, late Friday night the White House declared, for the first time, its intent to back a special provision which would require proof of citizenship before someone could enroll in the public option.
Wow. That’s a novel idea, isn’t it?
I just think it’s hilarious that they feigned outrage over being accused of lying about this very issue, when in fact it turned out they WERE lying, and now they’re covering their bases by changing up the bill to fix what they claimed they weren’t lying about in the first place.
Kinda like when they took the death panel stuff out of the bill, after being outraged that people were accusing them of having death panel stuff in the bill.
Why does anyone still trust them at all? WHY?
So, you know how this administration – mainly Nancy McBotox Pelosi – made a campaign promise to “drain the swamp of ethical misconduct in Washington?” I know you probably need to sit down for this, but yeah – that was just an empty promise. SHOCKER!
McBotox has of course gone back on her word and is being a total and complete hypocrite. Again. Instead of calling for the removal of Charlie Rangel, the freakin’ criminal, she instead is going to keep him in charge of the Ways and Means Committee. Neat! She wants to see what the Ethics committee will say and do first – and oh, by the way, he’s given THREE OF THE FIVE members of the Ethics committee campaign funds.
Isn’t that special?

BEHOLD: Bobby Gibbs painfully avoiding the topic of Nancy Pelosi in his latest White House Press Briefing, because, he says, the Administration wants to look FORWARD. This is just getting laughable. It’s outrageous that there would be no official statement from Obama on what’s currently happening with the 3rd most powerful person in this country. Major Garrett asks a pointed question, specifically – does Obama agree with Pelosi that the CIA lied to her? And Bobby’s answer is that the administration is working on keeping us all safe by looking forward.
Perhaps he forgot that it was this administration who dug all of this up to begin with. So, apparently, they want to look forward only when it is no longer politically advantageous to them to look backward. Nice.
