How To Be A Black Man – By Jesse Jackson

According to Jesse Jackson, Rep. Artur Davis (D-AL) isn’t really a black man, because he voted against the healthcare bill.

Now, I’m no race expert, but I would venture to guess that Artur Davis is at LEAST as black as Obama, and perhaps even doubly so.

Anyway, Jesse Jackson said, a few nights ago, “We even have blacks voting against the healthcare bill from Alabama. You can’t vote against healthcare and call yourself a black man.”

Really, Jesse?  Really?

But you guys, Davis’ response was SO AWESOME.  He said, “One of the reasons that I like and admire Rev. Jesse Jackson is that 21 years ago he inspired the idea that a black politician would not be judged simply as a black leader. The best way to honor Rev. Jackson’s legacy is to decline to engage in an argument with him that begins and ends with race.”

I cannot FATHOM a more appropriate, reasonable, and perfectly stated response.  I was so impressed by this.

The story got even more interesting when Davis’ primary opponent, Ron Sparks (who is white), criticized Davis’ vote against the bill, saying, “He was the only Black Caucus member to vote against it. I don’t get it.”

Well, here’s something to chew on, Sparky.  Not all black people think the exact same way.  They are what we like to refer to as INDIVIDUALS.  I know that might be a new concept for you, but it’s knowledge that might come in handy someday.

GAWD.

Anyway, why is Jesse Jackson still allowed to speak about anything in public?  The dude is a complete embarassment.
