The Washington Post reported on a provision in the health reform bill that would give the state of Louisiana – whose Senator, Mary Landrieu, is indecisive on health reform – $300 million.
This is called a big ol’ fat bribe, but Dems will call it something else semantically-correct and full of rainbows, kittens, and sunshine, I’m sure.
What I’d like to know is if we’re in so much debt and Obama and Reid and Pelosi and all the other stooges think this legislation is so “deficit NEUTRAL,” then how is it so darn easy to just throw $300 million at someone for a single vote? And if you’re having to shell out this much just to get ONE STUPID VOTE, then maybe your plan kind of sucks monkey poo. I don’t know about you guys, but $300 million is SORT of a lot of money. In fact, I myself wouldn’t mind seeing some of that $300 million back in my own paycheck. Sort of like a Christmas bonus, if you will…
Watch as CNN’s John King makes Sen. Sherrod Brown and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen squirm at first, only to regain their obviously fake composure and dance around the notion that Obamacare is all about buying votes and doing what it takes to “HELP” people (even though more than half of us don’t want this damn thing).
I could just be hormonal, but their arrogance makes me want to punch both of them in the face.
