I have been anticipating this day for so long that now that it’s here, it’s almost anti-climactic. Although it’s quite extraordinary to see Nancy say anything other than, “WE WILL PASS HEALTHCARE BY (insert “end of summer” or “Thanksgiving” or “Christmas” here).”
No one disagrees that we need changes. But now, FINALLY, it looks like everyone will just SLOW THE FREAK DOWN and think through the best way to make changes without having government completely take it over and invariably make it a billion times worse.
We live in extraordinary times, COTR readers. It’s a good time to love politics, isn’t it?
