Playboy – Please Stick to Boobs and Shut Up Already

I’ve obviously had my head in the sand a bit these past few days, what with meeting the Governor and all.  But, I heard about this article in Playboy magazine (that’s since been pulled due to obvious outrage), and I just had to post about it in light of some of the “feminism” discussion we’ve had in the past 24 hours.  It’s a heinous little piece written by a dude named Guy Cimbalo and it was called — are you ready for this? — “So Right – It’s Wrong - 10 Conservative Women We’d Love to Hate-F***.”

Yes, I believe you read that correctly.  Hate-F***.  Lovely semantics, don’t you think?  This was part of the main title of the article.  Published in an ACTUAL international magazine…

I haven’t read the article in its entirety, although I’ve scoured the web trying to find bits and pieces of it, and they are definitely scattered out there, of course.  And I’ve found, by reading the bits and pieces, that this article basically had ZERO merit or anything of value to contribute to the world.  It is a list of ten women – all conservative/Republican – who this author deemed acceptable to sexually violate in some way because his political views were somehow offended by the women’s views.  I mean, that’s what normal, red-blooded liberal men do, right?  They look at naked pictures of women, think about a bunch of smart, accomplished conservative women they’d LIKE to see naked but obviously haven’t, get angry because these women are seemingly unattainable and have different political views than they do, so naturally they talk about how much they’d like to “hate-f***” them while providing scathing commentary in the threatening verbal attack.  And they do this knowing that they have the double-standard of the MSM on their side.  Naturally, it’s O.K. to threaten something as vicious as this toward conservative women.  I mean, we don’t count, right?

Remember when Playboy was a place for hormonally-charged teenage boys to innocently look at boobs?  Well, now it’s apparently become a place for violent satire and political commentary – that is, it’s become a place where it’s seemingly O.K. to talk about raping conservative women – because liberal writer boy doesn’t agree with their – or my – views.  I’m going to interject an opinion here, yep.

I definitely think Hugh and his boys should shut the hell up and just stick to the boobs.

In one conservative blog that obviously DID get an opportunity to read the whole thing, Vickie McClure Davidson writes:

In the “logical,” left-wing male’s mind, they should all be savagely raped, as detailed in the filthy, poorly written article, “So Right, It’s Wrong.” And sexually assault them in creative, degrading ways so as to not just hurt them physically, but to “teach them a thing or two” and show them “who’s the boss.”

Niiice. Really.  Any therapists out there willing to take on this dude’s neuroses?

Davidson continues with some commentary about the arrogance of the mainstream media and its seemingly nonchalant view toward these types of things:

Eminem has a vile song out about raping Sarah Palin, Sandra Bernhard wants her viciously raped by black gang members, and Wanda Sykes, Bill Maher, and Janeane Garofalo infer she’s a racist whore; liberals giggle. Carrie Prejean is called foul names by a psycho gay gossip blogger and other liberal bloggers wish she’d be sexually attacked; again, liberals giggle. Ann Coulter is called the “C” word, the “B” word, Obama-bots wish her dead; AGAIN, liberals giggle.

She has a pretty good point there, you know.  I mean, when did this type of non-journalistic-garbage become OK to print – and for ANYONE to be treated in a violent manner? Am I understanding it correctly when I see that hate crime legislation for things like violent verbal attacks only count when that violence is spewed toward someone that’s not a right-wing female?  Really?

So, the list…..who’s on it, you ask?  Well, here they are in order:  Michelle Malkin, Megyn Kelly, Mary Katharine Ham, Amanda Carpenter, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Dana Perino, Laura Ingraham, Pamela Geller, Michele Bachmann, and Peggy Noonan.

Obviously, my point of this entry is that none of this is O.K.   In fact, it’s all completely and totally unacceptable.  And, with the information you have now, I’m just going to throw it to you, dear readers, and let you spew what you think.  Do you think that a conservative writer would get away with this if he was writing about liberal women?  If he was writing about Michelle Obama or Rachel Maddow or the other 472 gazillion celebrity women that are obvious liberals?

Something to chew on for a Saturday morning.

Stay continually classy, leftist MSM and keep on elevating the discourse.  Really…bravo.
