Unions Spend Money To Benefit Their Dues-Paying Members.

That post title was nearly impossible to type without giggling.

Obviously, it’s a completely false statement, because unions haven’t cared about their members in forever. What they ARE spending their money on, actually, and lots of it, is the 2010 elections.

The source link above describes in some detail how SEIU, AFSCME and AFL-CIO will be spending over ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS on keeping Democratic incumbents in office.

The president of AFSCME said, “We have got to protect the incumbency in the House. We have got to protect the incumbency in the Senate. It is going to be hard. Those tea-baggers are out there. There is an anti-incumbency mood out there.”

Those tea-baggers are out there, you guys. This is what he Actually Said. Although since the president of the COUNTRY is using that word freely now, I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised.

One particular candidate that the unions hope to save is Harry Reid, and they’re already getting started. An AFL-CIO representative said, “It’s our single focus. Harry Reid has done more for the state — more than anyone in history.” The union is planning on having its workers lobby other workers directly, do some door-to-door campaigning, and then send out a bunch of mail. For Harry Reid. It just stuns me that anyone would go to such lengths to rehire someone so patently stupid.

Barbara Boxer is another senator getting union help. A rep from the California Labor Federation said, “We are going to devote more resources to the 2010 campaign than we have ever done in any prior campaign.”

All of this leads me to wonder if Obama still means it when he says this:

I suspect union spending is juuuuuust fine with him.

AFL-CIO Sec’y/Treasurer Thinks Kids Are Helpless Without Unions

Question. Do you think union leaders really believe the crap they’re spewing or are they just saying this nonsense because it’s part of their job description?

FYI – they’re going after your junior high/highschoolers next, to tell them about the “social justice” movement and “what it can do to help them economically.”

Because, like this chick says, “Young people can’t make it on their own.” There’s no clearer evidence that liberals simply want people to feel dependent on others, and on unions and government in particular. You would NEVER hear this kind of messaging from a conservative, because we believe in the power of the individual and of hard work to achieve what you want out of life.

It’s an easy train to hop on, what with promises of stealing people’s money for social justice and whatnot. But I’d rather my kids be taught to work hard and rely on themselves instead of demanding others provide for them.

Be vigiliant, conservatives. Make sure you know what’s going on in your kids’ schools and don’t tolerate this kind of garbage!

Union Boss Calls Insurance Executives Criminals.

This is just laughable. I mean, have you ever heard of a better pot-calling-the-kettle-black example? AFL-CIO chief Trumka calling someone else greedy?

Have I mentioned before how much I hate unions?

Just Wait For It.

Labor unions, who seem to have an increasingly firm hold on Obama’s testicular area, might just get out of that tax on cadillac health plans, and leave the taxes to all us non-union people.

Because OF COURSE they will.

If someone could please explain to me why in the holy hell this is remotely fair, or why the rest of the non-union nation should tolerate this for one freaking second, I’d greatly appreciate it. Is it because the AFL-CIO president looks like this?

Come on, Obama.  No reason to be scared of a pathetic bully with a terrible rug.  GROW A PAIR, for crying out loud.

Better yet, scrap this whole health plan, because it blows.
