Allow Me To Introduce You To One Of Our Fellow Americans

2009-11-08_143132

BEHOLD: Yousef Al-Khattab (born Joseph Cohen).  This assclown is hailing Nidal Hasan as a hero for slaying the soldiers at Fort Hood.

Yousef lives in New York and works as a bicyle cabbie.  He got a nice laugh out of the Daniel Pearl beheading and spends his spare time on the internet calling for the murder of Jews.  He also runs RevolutionMuslim.com, and says that the soldiers killed at Fort Hood deserved their fates.

Yousef was born a Jew, but converted to Islam in 2004.  And, he enjoys reminding everyone that his hateful speech is protected by the First Amendment.  He is also a perfect example of why I am a fan of racial profiling.  I’d like to think that our intelligence agencies have their eyes and ears all over this jerk, but wouldn’t be surprised if the ACLU and liberal Democrats decide it’s too invasive to monitor him too closely.

This is the kind of person who isn’t content to just SPEAK hatred.  He won’t rest, because his radical beliefs prevent him from doing so, until he ACTS on his hatred.

But, you know, it’s far more important to develop hate crime legislation for gay people and attach it to defense spending bills than it is to deal with THIS kind of hate.  Priorities, people.  Priorities.

Plus, we’ve always got Obama’s preferred line of defense for terror:

Anyone Remember Wag the Dog?

When you’re completely incompetent and failing miserably elsewhere, just deflect!

Here we go again.  Wag the surly puppy.

A prosecutor has officially been named to investigate all the icky, bad things Bush and Cheney’s administration did to those sweet little terrorists. You know, because we have nothing better going on in the country right now to think about. In fact, we should keep looking back and pointing fingers, Mr. President. There’s a novel, liberal idea.

Apparently, Obama and his buddies at the ACLU are really irked by the fact that interrogators – according to a “newly declassified CIA report” – threatened children of at least one suspect:

The document, released Monday by the Justice Department, says one interrogator said a colleague had told Khalid Sheikh Mohammed that if any other attacks happened in the United States, “We’re going to kill your children.”

Another interrogator allegedly tried to convince a different terror suspect detainee that his mother would be sexually assaulted in front of him—though the interrogator in question denied making such a threat.

I’d just like to point out two things here, if I may: One, our interrogators didn’t kill or rape anyone. Two, the guys held in question had a part in killing thousands of Americans – and many of those Americans were children of parents who are still mourning them today. But I suppose that’s neither here nor there.

So, I wonder what things interrogators WILL be allowed to say to detainees while questioning them in the new special terrorist-era interrogation unit that the White House just created. Maybe Obama and his buddies will look to the UK to help us out with semantics, since they’re so politically correct and all.  Their little mantra is that “the U.S. will work harder to ensure the suspect is not tortured.”  That is just precious of them.

And just so we’re all clear – to this administration, words are torture. Alrighty then.

You know what I miss? Strength in the White House. Not the fake, pansy kind where someone’s pointing fingers at their own, but real, protect-the-American-people strength. I miss feeling like I’m actually safe from the next terrorist attack that will inevitably hit this country, as there are a nice handful of cold-blooded killers just laughing their butts off at our country right now, twirling their mustaches…

Specifically, I miss Dick Cheney, who had this to say about the investigation:

The documents released Monday clearly demonstrate that the individuals subjected to Enhanced Interrogation Techniques provided the bulk of intelligence we gained about al Qaeda. This intelligence saved lives and prevented terrorist attacks. These detainees also, according to the documents, played a role in nearly every capture of al Qaeda members and associates since 2002. The activities of the CIA in carrying out the policies of the Bush Administration were directly responsible for defeating all efforts by al Qaeda to launch further mass casualty attacks against the United States. The people involved deserve our gratitude. They do not deserve to be the targets of political investigations or prosecutions. President Obama’s decision to allow the Justice Department to investigate and possibly prosecute CIA personnel, and his decision to remove authority for interrogation from the CIA to the White House, serves as a reminder, if any were needed, of why so many Americans have doubts about this Administration’s ability to be responsible for our nation’s security.

Amen, Mr. Cheney.

Far Be It For Me…

…to not give our President credit where credit is due.  Obama has just made a good decision.  That is Huge News.

In a rare moment of clarity, Obama has reversed his earlier decision about releasing those photos of detainees in military custody, and has decided that, “The publication of these photos would not add any additional benefit to our understanding of what was carried out in the past by small number of individuals.  In fact, the most direct consequence of releasing them, I believe, would be to further inflame anti-American opinion and to put our troops in greater danger.”

Naturally, the ACLU is throwing a big fat hissy fit over this.  ACLU attorney Jameel Jaffer said, “If it’s true that they’re reversing position, we find that wholly unacceptable.  It’s inconsistent with the commitment they’ve made to the court and its inconsistent with the promise of transparency that they’ve repeated many times both before the election and since.”

Gawd.  NOW they’re calling for transparency?  When it could just weaken our defense?  How about calling for transparency on how all of our freaking tax money is being spent?  Remember that promise?  How about you spend some time on THAT transparency, Jameel?

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you all that I’m, dare I say, proud of Obama today.  I didn’t think he had it in him to do the right thing on this issue, and he’s proved me wrong, and I’m glad.

But I can’t let this post go without this mostly unrelated picture, because it makes me giggle.  Enjoy.
