According to this, Ashley Judd hasn't completely abandoned the idea of a run for elected office. She said, in answer to the question of whether or not she sees herself changing her mind about running:
"I see myself staying in conscious contact with my higher power and saying, ‘Help me to do what it is you need and want me to do.’ It very much seemed that running for Senate was what that looked like. I was really surprised when that shift happened inside of me (to focus on family) and it became very clear why. Of course, my self-centered fear was that I would look like a flake, had been insincere, or had wasted people’s time. However, family opportunities arose that were very time specific and intensive. And I didn’t want to have regrets later in life that I had missed opportunities to be with people who won’t always be with me. So I was comfortable with my decision. I really invested in those relationships and have been blessed. And if it comes around again, I would certainly be willing."
I would submit to you that her "self centered fear" of looking like a flake is pretty legitimate, given that that horse left the barn a long time ago, as the saying goes. She BATHES WITH HER DOG, for crying out loud.
This is one of two dogs, incidentally, that she claims she needs around her on movie sets and during interviews because they are "psychological support animals." Ashley spent over a month in an in-treatment mental health facility for depression and co-dependency issues. She is at the center of endless drama in her own family. She is perplexed by her own feelings towards inanimate objects:
Seriously, calling her a "flake" at this point is practically a compliment. And as I've said before, she's either too emotionally unstable to make it through life without her psychological support dogs at her side, OR she's a diva who dresses her dogs in service animal vests so that she can get away with having them with her all the time without being questioned. Either way, she's not fit for public office, unless dogs are now allowed on the Senate floor.
Anyway, just wanted y'all to know that she may yet decide to run for public office. FYI.
