Huckabee Considering A 2016 Run. I'm Considering A Cocktail.

Written by

Before I get lambasted for my post title by the Christian right out here in COTR-land, I'm just going to say that I'm also a Christian, and I also happen to love Huckabee.  He's a lovely, wonderful, God-fearing man.  An asset to our party, for sure.    I'd like to sit down with him and have dinner and conversation and discuss a variety of issues our country faces right now.

I just don't want him running for president.

Just like I don't want Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, or any other "recycled" candidate running for president right now.  I do NOT THINK THESE PEOPLE ARE ELECTABLE CANDIDATES.

They're simply not.  And I want to freaking win, people.  Sue me for NOT wanting to do the same thing over and over and over again while magically expecting a different result.

Seriously. Get in line.

In an interview with the "Brody File," Huckabee left the window open to actually run in 2016, and this frightens me a bit, because I just don't think that recycled candidates like him are the answer to what we need - to win the election against the "First WOMAN President!"  Because let's face it - that's what it's going to be.  They've elected the first black President.  And now they have their sights set on the First Woman president.  They don't give two hoots about qualifications, or all of the skeletons Hillary has in her closet.  Democrats care about that title, y'all. And they're going to sweep folks up in that PR campaign of "FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES," and lemmings will buy it.  Just like they bought it back in 2008.  Hook, line, and sinker.

We need MORE than recycled candidates on our side.  Period.

But your mileage may vary.  I'm sure it does.

In the meantime, Huckabee is considering it.

Discuss.
