According to this, Allen Brauer, the communications chairman for the Sacramento Democratic Party, told Amanda Carpenter, one of Sen. Ted Cruz's staff people that he hoped her kids would "die from debilitating, painful and incurable diseases.”
Nice, huh? He tweeted that in response to a post of hers which said, "GOP beat gun control, changed Obama's mind on Syria, is holding the line on amnesty. We can defund Obamacare, too!"
And he didn't stop there. Once Amanda retweeted his insanity, with a note to her followers that perhaps Allen deserved to LOSE some followers over that remark, he doubled down:
This is the freaking COMMUNICATIONS CHAIRMAN for the Democratic Party in Sacramento, you guys. This is the level of slime they're choosing to head up communications.
But there's a happy ending here. Because he faced backlash, he did the right thing and apologized, tweeting to Amanda, "I am truly sorry for my tweet. I was very upset and lashed out. Your kids are not fair game either. My apologies."
So, you know, we have that.
But my favorite thing? Allan's got a website set up so he can offer his writing services, and the headline on the website reads, "It matters how you say it."
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
