Seriously, what IS it with letters to the American people this past week? Two weeks ago, it was twerking, and this week, it's writing open letters to all of us minions. Now we have Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks, writing a letter to all of us to let us know that he basically doesn't like the Second Amendment. And if you could, please refrain from carrying your weapons inside his Starbucks. Thanks.
I mean, he can't really tell you NOT to, if your state allows you to open-carry, but he'd just rather that you didn't. Howard doesn't have the ability to BAN guns, per se, but yeah - he'd like you to not carry a gun into his coffee shops. Because he's sensitive to Constitutional rights. And other people are sensitive to Constitutional rights. And really, when we get down to the nitty gritty here, the Newtown Coalition For Corporate Responsibility -- a group including family members of victims from last year's mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School - pressured him to take this stance.
And here's Howard lecturing us on how we've lost our conscience. But don't forget to come in and buy a $5 cup of coffee, y'all!
