Another Victory For Political Correctness. YAY CRYBABIES!

Written by

This just in, minions!  The Associated Press – the “largest news-gathering outlet in the world, will no longer use the term ‘illegal immigrant.’”

Nope.  It’s no longer in their style guide.  Because welcome to Liberal Town.  The water’s warm.  Jump right in.

That means you, too, illegals!  I mean, now-Democrat-voters-and-therefore-entitled-for-life-to-everything-I-work-my-ass-off-for-and-you-didnt-formerly-known-as-illegal-immigrants-when-my-country-was-still-sane.

The news came in the form of a blog entry authored by Senior Vice President and Executive Editor Kathleen Carroll on Tuesday afternoon, explaining that the decision is part of the company's on-going attempt to rid their Stylebook of labels.

"The Stylebook no longer sanctions the term 'illegal immigrant' or the use of 'illegal' to describe a person. Instead, it tells users that 'illegal' should describe only an action, such as living in or immigrating to a country illegally," Carroll wrote.

The company had “years of controversy over the term,” y’all. YEARS.  I mean, a company that deals with NEWS couldn’t DEAL with the fact that people broke the law and were subsequently called illegal.

Nope. That was, like, MEAN and stuff.

Fusion, the ABC-Univision joint venture, does not use "illegal immigrant" because we believe it dehumanizes those it describes and we find it to be linguistically inaccurate.

We wrote last year about how most of America's top college newspapers and major TV networks, including ABC, NBC and CNN, have vowed to stop using the term. Nearly half of Latino voters polled last year in a Fox News Latino survey said that they find the term "illegal immigrant" offensive. A coalition of linguists also came together last year to pressure media companies to drop "illegal immigrant," calling it "neither neutral nor accurate." And some critics of the term, like journalist Maria Hinojosa, argue that those newsrooms that have continued to classify people as "illegal" lack diversity.

Just so we're all clear here....If a person ROBS MY HOUSE, and I call that person a thief, I am a meanie who obviously lacks diversity now.

Alrighty then.

You see, the AP lib wackjobs don’t want to label PEOPLE.  They want to label BEHAVIOR.  So you can’t call a person an illegal immigrant anymore.  You can’t say that they’re schizo.  You’re can just say that they’ve been “diagnosed with schizophrenia.”

This is a “huge victory” for bleeding heart libs, in case you give a rat's assular area.  They’re the “most widely used style guide in the U.S.” and everyone else follows suit.  So chalk another one up to a society that has been overrun by punchable crybabies.

And so it goes.
