Anyone out there remember that whole Fast and Furious thing? Anyone? Bueller?
Yeah, we haven't heard about it in the media much these days. It's just another one of those scandals that this administration would like us to brush under the rug, and like the pathetic little lapdogs they are, the lamestream Obama-run media has done just that.
Yay for them. Boo for actual TRUTH AND JUSTICE.
Anywho. It seems as though Dear Leader's right-hand, above-the-law Attorney General wants a federal court to "indefinitely delay a lawsuit brought by watchdog group Judicial Watch. The lawsuit seeks the enforcement of open records requests relating to Operation Fast and Furious, as required by law."
Mighty conveeeeenient of him, huh?
Aaaaand, Dear Leader isn't complying, because he'e the King, y'all, and he doesn't have to. DUH.
Tom Fitton, the President of Judicial Watch, said what most of us with Actual Brains are thinking (emphasis mine):
“It is beyond ironic that the Obama administration has initiated an anti-gun violence push as it seeking to keep secret key documents about its very own Fast and Furious gun walking scandal,” Fitton said in a statement. “Getting beyond the Obama administration’s smokescreen, this lawsuit is about a very simple principle: the public’s right to know the full truth about an egregious political scandal that led to the death of at least one American and countless others in Mexico. The American people are sick and tired of the Obama administration trying to rewrite FOIA law to protect this president and his appointees. Americans want answers about Fast and Furious killings and lies.”
Yep. That's damn right, Mr. Fitton.
Of course, when our elected leaders DID try to hold Eric Holder accountable - and in contempt of court - Dear Leader invoked his executive privilege. Because of COURSE he did. But the House of Representatives finally were able to hold him in contempt - and in a bipartisan manner.
And this is the basis for Holder's request to delay the Judicial Watch suit. Because there's that whole other pesky suit filed by the House of Representatives. And that suit? It has civil AND criminal parts to it, yet the criminal part of it has been completely ignored by the Department of Justice. Because slimeballs watch out for and protect one another. You know.
Meanwhile, in Reality, Brian Terry's family is STILL WANTING ANSWERS about his death. Our Department of Justice is protecting their own. And our President is arrogantly lecturing law-abiding citizens on gun control. With children behind him as political props.
Just another day in liberal-run America, y'all.
