Anyone out there remember my little run-in (and subsequent letter-to-the-author) with Marie Claire magazine? If you don't, I'll try to summarize. Basically, Marie Claire "journalist" Shusannah Walshe wrote a one-sided piece (of crap) on how Republicans are evil and are going to take birth control away from women and War on Women and WAAAH. In a women's fashion rag, no less.
Because I buy fashion magazines TO LOOK AT FASHION, I got a little peeved by the ridiculously slanted political article, so I wrote Ms. Walshe a nice letter in response, which you can read (or re-read) above, in case you missed it the first time. Funny thing about my letter, though. It was scrubbed from Marie Claire's website within an hour (after hundreds of folks agreed with my sentiment and gave me kudos for writing it and providing a voice that reflected theirs). Oh yeah - and it was never printed in their magazine.
I know. I'm shocked, too.
Basically, my letter just disappeared off the face of the liberal wackjob planet. Poof. All commie-scrub OBJECTIVE AMERICAN JOURNALISM-style and all.
Weird how that works. And it's weird how Ms. Walshe is so hell-bent on women's rights, but I guess those rights only include hers, her liberal friends', and center completely around their vaginas. When it comes to liberties such as free speech and freedom of religion, on the other hand, and if you're a CONSERVATIVE woman attempting to exercise your rights? Well, pfffft. Rights, shmites. Only liberal women are allowed to be heard, read about, and deemed worthy of said rights, minions.
Well, according to Walshe and her feminazi buddies, that is.
I already dislike Ms. Walshe and her pathetic style of writing that she deems "journalism," as well as the slanted propaganda that seems to fly so effortlessly from her being onto paper for all to enjoy. So, you can imagine my happiness when I saw her name this morning in yet ANOTHER article that she wrote for ABC. And this time, too, it was blatantly slanted. GO FIGURE. And, this time, too - it came back to bite her square in the assular region.
You see, Shushanna wrote this piece about Paul Ryan and how he was being "called out" by a voter in the Wisconsin area.
Here's the story:
Wisconsin voter Linda Morrison asked this question to Paul Ryan at a townhall last week:
"My question is, you know we keep talking about China and jobs and then we talk about the unemployment," the woman wearing a Green Bay Packers sweatshirt said. "But, where are the answers? I mean, why aren't you more specific? I heard you, was it Sunday when you were on Fox, and you didn't answer his question about how we're going to … you know, what are your plans?"
And Paul Ryan answered her. CLEARLY. But that answer wasn't good enough for Ms. Walshe, apparently, who basically spoke FOR Linda Morrison and said that Linda didn't receive a complete answer, including information about loopholes (which Linda Morrison never freakin' asked about, but I suppose that's neither here nor there to a lamestream journalist that likes to make crap up on the fly).
Of course, the Obama campaign pounced on this lovely piece of lamestream "journalism" and said this:
"Ryan can't attend his own campaign rallies without being called out for failing to provide specifics about what Mitt Romney would do if elected."
Because of COURSE they said that.
It gets better, though. Linda Morrison, who was completely SATISFIED with the answer that Paul Ryan gave her, got a little miffed when she saw that her words - her question...you know, the one that SHE asked - her words were now being used to paint Ryan as inept.
So SHE issued a statement that fired back at Shusanna and the Obama campaign (emphasis mine):
"I am the woman in the Green Bay Packer jacket at Rep. Paul Ryan's rally in Clinton who asked him the question about specific plans to fix our economy. Needless to say, I was quite shocked to learn the Obama campaign seized my question, putting out the statement, "Even Ryan can't attend his own rally without being called out."
I was not calling Ryan out. I had the opportunity to ask a direct question to Paul Ryan and what I got was a complete direct answer with no spin. Even though 600 other people were attending, I felt Mr. Ryan was talking directly to me. I thanked him after the event for answering my question. I left the event feeling satisfied and confident that the Romney/Ryan plan is what our country needs.
Today I am outraged that my question is being misrepresented and used as a political tool against the Romney/Ryan campaign by both media and the Obama camp. The question I asked is what we the citizens want to know: How is the Romney/Ryan plan going to tackle this economy? Paul Ryan answered it with precise clarity.
My next question is to President Barack Obama. What is your specific plan to fix the economy you said you would fix 4 years ago?"
On top of wanting to bear-hug Linda Morrison for representing all of us women out there that refuse to be manipulated and taken advantage of by the liberal propaganda machine, I'd also like to add my own translation here:
SUCK IT, LAMESTREAM LAPDOG MEDIA (that means you, Shusanna Walshe of Marie Claire fame) AND DOUBLE-SUCK-IT, OBAMA ADMINISTRATION. A lot of us aren't buying what you're selling. And you should be ashamed of yourselves for assuming that we all do.
You see, Ms. Walshe, women who don't fall in line with your narrow line of thinking STILL HAVE VOICES. And they use them. I applaud Linda Morrison for doing so, and I hope you'll not try to scrub her words as you so nonchalantly scrubbed mine. Because if you do - if ABC does - I'll be happy to re-print her words here as much as I possibly can - ad nauseum - to make sure you won't get the last word.
I also hope you'll ask for your money back from whatever "Journalism" school you attended. Because, DAMN chick. Honestly.
