BEHOLD: Warren Buffett telling Matt Lauer that raising taxes on the rich would "raise the morale of the middle class."
He also says that raising taxes would, "have a great effect in terms of the morale of the middle class, who have seen themselves paying high payroll taxes, income taxes. And then they watch guys like me end up paying a rate that's below that, you know, paid by the people in my office."
OMG.
You know what would have a great effect on my morale? If hosebeasts like Warren Buffett would stop shrieking to anyone in earshot about how people like him should pay more taxes, and actually FREAKING DO IT ALREADY.
Is there someone in government whose job it is to STOP people like Buffett from sending in extra tax money? Do they send his checks back to him? Do they write him thank you notes that say, "We simply can't accept this generous extra tax money from you?" NO. They do not. Warren Buffett just doesn't pay any more than what his fancy accountants work out on his tax return. He COULD, but he doesn't. Rather, he spends all of his energy TALKING about how he should pay more.
But you know what? I'm over this too. Let's just raise taxes on people making over 200k already and be done with it. Let's SINK THE FREAKING SHIP and show douchecanoes like Warren Buffett what will happen.
OVER IT.
