According to this, Senator Chuck Schumer says that stores which sell "assault weapons" should stop selling them while Congress is debating gun regulation legislation.

OMG.

He sent a letter to the major retailers this weekend asking for a "voluntary moratorium."

I hope he gets lots of responses from those retailers which say:

Dear Sen. Schumer:

Bite me.

Schumie's mad because consumer demand for guns has risen sharply since Newtown, and since Obama's re-election, and if laws get passed that limit or perhaps ban "assault weapons" then it'll be extra work to confiscate them all if gun stores keep selling them. 

Joe Biden is supposed to provide a recommendation to Obama this week about what to do about all of these pesky guns.  It ought to be a big f*cking deal.
