About Us

Hi – We’re Daisy and Mockarena. We’re chicks who developed an interest in politics around the time of the 2008 presidential campaign, which is pretty much when we realized that this country is being taken in a completely wack direction by liberal Democrats. And so we’ve decided to talk about it in an open forum. You can learn more about us below.

Who is Daisy?

Daisy is a Medical Writer by day and Adjunct Professor of Communications by night who, after a somewhat nomadic city-girl life for several years, now lives in a small Indiana town, out in the country with her husband, baby daughter (“Dandelion”), two stepchildren, three dogs, and other wildlife critters. She’s always liked the art of yapping, and tends to spew her opinion whenever possible or unsolicited. She’s a non-affiliated, yet self-proclaimed ‘spiritual Christian mutt’ who believes in the pledge of allegiance, the military, education, and the power of laughter. She believes in capitalism and less government intervention in her life, her decisions, her personal freedoms, and her spending. Despite her leaning to the right, she is relatively moderate from a social standpoint, is an animal enthusiast, college football fan, pianist, organic vegetable gardener, movie junkie, and shoe addict. She has the same birthday as Mother Theresa and realizes that the similarities between them may end there.

Daisy does not believe in socialist ideology, time-outs for bratty kids, the overabundance of lawyers in this country, giving trophies for 7th place, handing a woman a fish when an opportunity exists to teach that woman to fish for herself, nor does she believe that any government official is the Messiah. She’s a Virgo who likes the smell of puppy feet, long walks on the beach, road trips, rocking out to Rachmaninoff and the Foo Fighters, and Will Farrell movies. She isn’t OLD, really, but just old enough to remember when MTV played music and wasn’t merely teaching our teenage daughters to be vapid, mindless little tramps.

Who is Mockarena?

For those of you who have come here from www.themockdock.com (thanks, by the way!), you know a bit about Mockarena (or “Mock” as she is more commonly known) already. You know, for example, that she rarely hides her feelings about anything, much to the delight? dismay? of her devoted husband. You know she’s simultaneously disgusted and obsessed with today’s pop culture, and totally gets the glees from mocking the vapid, empty-headed celebritidiots who are famous for nothing other than being famous. What you might not know is that she works in Human Resources during the day, focusing on recruiting.

Mock is a true religious mutt – born to a Catholic mother and Jewish father, both Polish immigrants who steadfastly love and honor this country and worked hard to acquire their US citizenship years ago. You know, before the “in” thing to do was to just come over illegally and refuse to learn English. While Mock isn’t affiliated with a particular church, she believes in God and in good old Christian values. She also, like Daisy, believes that government is best when it’s small and non-intrusive, when it lets capitalism, NOT bailouts, shape the economy, and when the constitution is seen as something to live by, not something to adapt whenever the ACLU gets its panties in a wad.

Mock hates educators who teach self-esteem and correct condom use in place of history and algebra. She thinks university professors have NO BUSINESS injecting personal political opinion into the classroom. She misses the days when kids could walk to school unattended and feel totally safe. She values family and marriage above pretty much anything else, and she thinks Ronald Reagan was not only one of the best presidents ever, but also one of the best husbands. Happily, she’s married to an exceptionally perfect man herself, and is a mom to two beautiful boys (Junior Mock and Mini-Mock).

Shows you how uninformed our young women are about how they got the priveledges they have. If the repubs have their way thry will not only take away your right to say what you want to do with your bodies , you will always get paid less than men and if they can get it passed you probably won’t be able to vote.

Joyce, you must stop mixing magic mushrooms with your Southern Comfort, it reacts with your Oxy. Your delusions are getting worse and worse.

And BTW, I was at the mean, white, Republican, men’s meeting and Joyce is right, we’re gonna do all that stuff! OH, and slavery, we’re bringing that back, despite the fact we also helped get rid of it.

    Here’s your tinfoil hat.

Wow Joyce – you got a seriously strong batch of koolaid.

Do some homework. You are WOEFULLY misinformed.

Nice to read up on you, Chicks. Good old Joyce there obviously aspires to live the life of the infamous Julia. Utopia delivered by Obama! Liberalism is most definitely a mental disorder. Hopefully Joyce forgets to vote.

Glad I found you gals! It’s great to see other conservative women in the world. Society seems to think we are as rare as conservative gays (of which there are many).

@ Joyce … as for Republicans taking away my rights? They don’t want to intrude in my sex life, my wallet or my healthcare. How is that taking away my “rights?” They support my freedom to choose my faith, what I think and what I say. And if they had their say, I could make as much money as I want as long as it was done legally. Why do I get the feeling that I’m not the one who is uninformed?

    Daisy, Mockarena:
I’m the attorney for Robin Hensel, the extreme leftist, OWS, protesting grandmother in Little Falls MN who received threats by posters on your website (since removed, If I’m informed correctly.)

I’m also a 27 year veteral of the Marines and Army – entered the Marines as a private, retired from the Army as a lieutenant colonel. I am entitled to wear the combat patch. My family was a Navy family. I’m active in Republican politics in my home (state) district. In short, I oppose nearly everything Robin stands for. But I also oppose the government deciding that what a citizen can say via signs in her own yard. I carried a copy of the Constitution in my pack all 27 years I served; went through nine of them, marking ‘em up, reading. I had this peculiar idea that if I was to defend it, I ought to know what it said. Went to law school after I retired, and I’m doing Robin’s case pro bono.

I’m sure the Hensel case and postings (and the decision to remove them) caused you some small grief, and may even have involved Daisy with one of the country’s “too many lawyers”. As far as that goes, Daisy, grab a copy of ‘A Man For All Seasons’ and fast forward to the ‘Devil’s SPeech’. Better yet, heres a You Tube URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDBiLT3LASk

That is my idea of law. And while it includes the freedom to criticize Robin in the strongest possible terms (I plan to attend one of her demonstrations and argue against a Moslem speaker who’s going to criticize ‘Islamophobia’ – and he’s in trouble; I know shari’a law…..) free speech does not, and NEVER has included the right to threaten others.

I’m utterly uninterested in engaging Chicks on the Right legally. You are not responsible for who posts what, espeically when you responsibly remove threatening statements. I am interested in engaging in a discussion with you about this case. I think you may find more to it than you think – and I predict you’ll find it interesting. I’m also interested in tracking down the poster (GLOC KITTY XE, 30 Jan. 2012, 1011 hours) who threatened Robin. These are independent objectives.

I invite you to email me, or to call me at 612-839-5132. If I”m not available, call back – the message service appears to have gone south yesterday.

    Sincerely,

    Larry A. Frost
    Attorney at Law
    LTC, Intelligence Corps
    US Army (Ret).

    Dear Chicks…
I found you by accident & am thrilled to see young women up in arms! I was beginning to think that only we older women were upset about this government & that the younger people were too involved in their lives to see what is going on.
    YOU GO GIRLS!!!
