I’m Glad Al’s Around To Explain To Me What A “Real” Christian Is…

According to Al Sharpton, he’s a Christian and you’re not. You see, Christians are supposed to shut up and not share their views. According to Al McChristianExpert, “Real Christians help heal people and help people,” he continued. “They don’t talk about it. Their works speak for themselves.”
And real Christians are supposed to pay for other people’s birth control. You know. Because in Sharpton’s version of the Bible, that’s what Jesus wanted, apparently.
Alrighty then.
You know what’s hilarious about Al Sharpton? Besides the fact that he sounds half looped all the time? This is a dude who gets on a channel that calls itself “news” (I know, I’m shaking my head at that, too), quotes an amazing man like Martin Luther King Jr. – as if he and MLK Jr. were kindred in some way (you just keep on telling yourself that, Al) – talks about rich people paying their fair share in his own little twisted view of what the Christian ideal is, while simultaneously owing “the IRS $2.6 million in income tax, and nearly $900,000 in state tax.” You know, from his little non-profit empire he’s got going on behind the scenes. A non-profit that seems pretty profitable for the dear Reverend these days. How’s first class treating ya?
I’d just like to give a hearty dose of thanks on behalf of all of us fake Christians, Reverend Al. We soulless heathens really appreciate the sinful giggles you so lovingly give us – especially in this clip.

Dear Al (not-so) Sharpton,
I real Christian also does not bear false witness against their neighbor. That means that they would never accuse 6 white police officers of raping a teenaged black girl (Tawana Brawley). One of those officers took his own life because the stress YOU created was too great. Therefore, Dear Al, you have blood on your hands. Is that being a good Christian?
Apparently he is not a “real” Christian because if he was, he would not be making these stupid “news” broadcast about his work. (per his definition of a real Christian?)
…waiting for Al to be a “good Christian” and shut the hell up.
Aubie… that was my first thought too! If A Christian is supposed to be quiet about their religion and their works… why is he talking about himself on TV?
The Devil made him do it!
There’s that term again… “right to healthcare.”
When are these people going to learn that’s not a right? Seriously! In no aspect of our culture or its governing documents is healthcare established as a right – civil or otherwise.
You know what makes me laugh? Al Sharpton singles out the nutballs to make sweeping generalizations about Christians in general; and yet he (and other leftists) get all bent whenever you bring up the point of, say, welfare abusers in the context of whether entitlement reform is needed.
Also, I fail to see how his latter point ties to his former point. He starts by bitching about Obama being (rightly) criticized for his so-called “Christianity and about the birth-control debate; but then defends his argument on the notion that Christians are (supposedly) conditioning their help on whether or not the person they’re helping is Christian? How does that make any sense?
Oh right, it doesn’t. More “Conclusion-First” thinking from idiot leftists.
Why would you want him to shut up, you can’t find entertainment this good anywhere!
Right on, AT!
When are people going to understand that just because something ‘sounds good’ (to them, at least) doesn’t make it a ‘right’?
On judgement day, there will be many that christ does not recognize.
I saw this clip on another site (please forgive me). My question Al is when Jesus healed what faiths were there? I mean Jesus was a Jew. Christians didn’t exist then (after all, being a true Christian believes in the Trinity and the Resurrection, right, so how could there be “Christians” before the Crucifixion and the subsequent rising from the dead). Islam wouldn’t exist for 500+ years.
Al, Jesus came to spread the word to Jews and non-Jews alike, to give them a chance for redemption and to have a chance at a life everlasting. He didn’t ask what someone’s faith was because he was here for all.
Per Sharpton, Obama is not a Christian, for Obama’s works (or more likely his lack of works) speak for themselves.
Idibot!
…as he stands there, on national television, talking about it, profiting from it, and not really HELPING anyone.
I want to put on a really ugly pair of super sharp stilettos and dance on his face.
Yeah, man, I notice those apostles kept so quiet about things that they ended up imprisoned, tortured, and killed.
Of course, maybe those apostles didn’t know what it meant to be a ‘good Christian”. sarc.
Al Sharpton wouldn’t know a real Christian if it bit him in the azz.
And as AT rightly pointed out it isn’t about Christianity, it’s about the Constitution. I will give Al props for being a good progressive though because like all good progressives he invokes the Bible when it suits him, condemns it when it doesn’t, deflects and spins when all else fails. Rinse, repeat.
