I mean, SOMEONE has to pay for the hippies’ marijuana, alcohol, food, and condoms, right? Turns out that the Working Families Party – a big bunch of Obama buddies – are paying folks to not bathe and poop on the street protest.
Apparently, the “pay is $350-$650 a week depending on the responsibility and length of time of staff.”
Good money for sitting around all day in your own filth and having sex on the street, don’t you think?
(Um, by the way, hippies – those “free condoms” you’re using ARE MADE BY CORPORATIONS.)
And of COURSE, the Working Families Party has the same address as SEIU and ACORN. Go figure. Here’s a portion of their little ‘want ad,’ which is hysterical, considering the people they’ve recruited (emphasis mine).
The WFP is seeking immediate hires.
You must be an energetic communicator, with a passion for social and economic justice.
Only outgoing, articulate dedicated, determined candidates will be considered for the positions.

Is it just me, but if these “candidates” were really outgoing, articulate, dedicated, and determined…wouldn’t they already have REAL FREAKIN JOBS?

If they’re paying people to be articulate, it would seem they threw that money right down the toilet! I have yet to see an articulate “occupier.”
Is there a clothing allowance ? Most of my threads are pretty scruffy but don’t match what I’ve seen in the pics.
So where does this ad say the WFP is paying people to protest? It sounds like they’re looking for street canvassers to ask people for donations and hand out brochures. Annoying, sure, but it hardly constitutes astroturf or some kind of Soros-funded conspiracy.
Let’s bleed him dry. The more we post negative press the more he has to pay for his control of Obama and the Liberals.
I really really hope these paid activists are receiving a minimum of $20 per hour, and benefits…..like paid vacation time, and family medical leave, and health insurance…….

Anyway, it would be a shame if the paid activists had to go on strike to be heard.
$350-$650/week. According to my calculations, that equals $18,200-$33,800/year. They are getting paid more than nearly everyone should be paid according to their manifesto. You can apparently protest and not do a single thing for society and get paid three times as much as the business owner creating jobs and paying taxes that pays for your health care and full retirement. Hmmm, tempting, but at that pay rate I definitely can’t pay off my student loans.
Did anyone else notice that the Craig’s list ad misspelled “differnence”?

They’ve been comparing themselves to the people in the mid-east who are presently in actual shooting wars. But it seems to me the ones in the mid-east aren’t being PAID to rebel.
And, this makes their motives rather suspicious….they are actually making a profit for themselves, and the take is 100% since they have no overhead.
Guys, seriously– no one is being PAID to rebel. Nothing about the ad even suggests that. This is a standard pitch to hire canvassers– pick the cause of the moment and use it as an opportunity to hire young people to badger people for donations or to accept flyers. That’s all. A broad range of political groups and many charitable fundraising institutions do this.
That doesn’t change my assessment of these childish morons.
They are getting money. AMERICAN MONEY! They’re giving hell to anyone who wants to make money, and they’re ACCEPTING MONEY!!
The entire bunch of them should be given a one way ticket out of the US. We can give them one of the Allutian islands. They can set up their own society and see how long it takes for it to fall apart.
BTW, I KNOW that the Allutians are a part of the United States. But we could always give it away.
I believe that this movement and all of the other movements going on around the world today should cause people to investigate and research what is really happening. Instead there will be petty arguments and sarcastic comments about “dirty hippies” but I am certain that it will be difficult to maintain a smirk while the boarders are being eliminated and America is merged with Canada and Mexico and the beloved US Constitution will no longer hold any validity. There are many things coming that no one will be prepared for and because we live in an “instant” society, people only react to what is happening in front of their faces. There are things happening behind the scenes every day and have been happening for many years. It is easy to poke fun in the name of righteousness but we need to live deeper than the disposable facade of today’s world.
