You Know What Would Have Been Awesome?

If Axelrod, that bumbling, ridiculous fool, would have Actually Responded to Jake Tapper’s question in this exchange (emphasis mine):

TAPPER: So the chamber says no foreign money is paying for any of their political activities.

AXELROD: And I guess my answer to the Chamber is just disclose where your money is coming from and that will end all the questions. The fact is they are spending $75 million in this campaign and they will not disclose where one dime is coming from. And that’s the problem with all of these organizations. We have tens of millions of special interest money coming into these campaigns and no record of where its coming from and that should be a concern to every voter in this country.

TAPPER: Their answer would be why should they disclose. No one’s disclosing.

AXELROD: Right and they have a point there. We tried to pass a law in the Congress — every Democrat in the Senate voted for it, every Republican in the Senate voted against it — that said everyone has to disclose. That all these organizations would have to disclose where their money is coming from whether they are supporting Democratic candidates or Republican candidates. The Republicans blocked that bill and the question to them and their allies is: what are they hiding that they don’t want the American people to see?

TAPPER: But you’re asking the Chamber to prove a negative. “Prove that you’re not doing such and such accusation.”

AXELROD: It’s not proving a negative, Jake, because all you have to do to clear up the questions is reveal who your donors are from. The question back to them is why don’t they want to reveal where their money is coming from? I think the answer is, I think if the American people knew where their money was coming from they’d be a lot less apt to listen to the advertising, to read the mail, to respond to the kind of negative campaigns that the Chamber and some of these other organizations are underwriting.

TAPPER: But what do you say to people who argue you are demonizing an organization for a charge that nobody knows if it’s true or not?

AXELROD: Well I’m not demonizing the Chamber of Commerce. I’m simply suggesting to them that they disclose the source of the $75 million that they are spending in campaigns and put to rest, put to rest the questions that have been, that have been raised.

TAPPER: Isn’t that like the whackjobs that tell the president he needs to show them his full long-form birth certificate so he can put to rest the questions that have been raised?

AXELROD: The president’s birth certificate has been available to people.

TAPPER: The long form?

AXELROD: Someone once in the course of this debate about whether we should have a law to force these organizations to disclose where they’re money is coming from in the campaigns, someone said, and I think they’re right – “the only people who want to keep things secret are folks who have something to hide.” If the Chamber doesn’t have anything to hide about these contributions, and I take them at their word that they don’t, then why not disclose? Why not let people see where their money is coming from?

See how he just skirted the issue there? This whole ridiculous assertion by the White House about the Chamber of Commerce is just RIPPED right out of the Rules For Radicals playbook: Come up with an absurd allegation in order to create doubt or negativity, offer nothing in the way of evidence, and then suggest that in order to refute the charge, the Chamber needs to prove that the allegation is NOT true, as if the onus is ON THEM to do so.

This whole thing isn’t sitting well with a lot of folks, including Democrats. And Obama would do well to remember that he never had an issue with disclosure before now.

But my favorite thing is Bob Schieffer saying incredulously to Axelrod, “Is that the best you can do?”

You know you suck when Bob Schieffer is amazed at your lameness.

    He’s an idiot…..

I find his answer to “The Long Form?” very interesting. He doesn’t say “yes, it was provided” (because it wasn’t) and he doesn’t discuss the issue at all (he and all the other minions I’m sure have been instructed not to)… but what he *does* say is this…

“… the only people who want to keep things secret are folks who have something to hide.”

He basically admitted there was no long form provided (by avoiding the question) and then backhandedly accuses BHO of having something to hide because the birth cert is being kept secret.

Sounds like ol’ Axelrod has some of his own doubts (or first hand knowledge?) of BHO’s birth certificate issue.

Hmnnnn, special interests. Would that include unions? Would it include PETA? How about The Sierra Club? And, oh, don’t forget the Amnerican Trial Lawyers Association – that special interest gets special protection from the Democrats whenever the word “tort” is brought up in Congress.

Then there is that “special” relationship between George Soros and B. H. Obama. Soros takes gold out of his East African mines and ships it to Saudi Arabia, where it is converted into petrodollars and fed into Obama’s campaign chest via thousands of internet cutouts. New York Time’s Maureen Dowd covered this when she was shilling for Hillary in early 2008. Her publisher and the NYT editorial board told her to sit down and shut up.

The tit-for-tat here is that Obama has invested several billions of our tax dollars into developing a new oil field discovered off the coast of Brazil. Soros just happens to have a large portfolio of Petrobras stock. Incidentally, all of the deepwater drilling rigs in the Gulf of Mexico are packing up and moving to Rio de Janero. That advertising slogan used by Capital One, “What’s in your wallet,” is going to find a lot of folks opening theirs so the moths can fly out. Gasoline will be at $5 a gsllon ere long.

Yeah, the Democrats would have absolutely no cred on this issue if it weren’t for the MSM shilling for them, which makes Schieffer’s comment all the more extraordinary.

Axelrod. Snake. You’ll never get a straigh answer out of him

This is really getting interesting! Do you suppose the MSM is starting to wipe the shade from their eyes….I think this is the first time I’ve actually seen a reporter ask for proof of anything that a liberal says. I’m sure Alexrod is in shock.

This is old school smear politics known as the ‘whisper campaign’.

Whisper smears, innuendo, gossip, and lies…repeat them often enough that people at least doubt the candidates, or party in question, if not out right believe it.

Liars think everyone is lying, sneaks think everyone is sneaky, and cheaters think everyone is cheating.

It is like their guilty consciences are eating them alive. Instead of staying “shut up” they can’t help themselves, they need to “project”.

  9. Jennifer October 13, 2010 at 7:28 pm ·

SuzQ is absolutely correct! Liars and cheaters think everyone else is lying and cheating. How about Axelrod disclose the names of the people who funded Obummer’s presidential campaign? We know Soros, Oprah, and probably China and Saudia Arabia financed his presidential campaign… and watch out, cuz they will finance his 2012 campaign, too. He is such a hypocrite… as all Dumbocrats are. I swear, this has been the most disastrous presidency in my lifetime!
