See the dude on the right in the picture above? (Hats off to Gateway Pundit for that.) That’s Shawn Christy, and he kinda wants to kill Sarah Palin. His mother is in the middle, and she apparently has a fear of scissors, but I digress.
The news media has been slow to report the emergency restraining order obtained Monday by former Alaska Governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin against 18 year old Pennsylvania man Shawn R. Christy. It took forty-eight hours for the national media to report on the court order, even though it was reported online by the local paper the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman on Tuesday.
Here are some interesting tidbits about Shawn R. Christy Wackjob McGee:
He’s not a stranger to restraining orders.
He’s under the delusion that he’s had sex with Sarah Palin.
He’s a fan of recycling – he works at a Pennsylvania recycling company.
He also thinks he’s had a relationship with Willow, Palin’s daughter.
Christy had “risen to the top of the dozens and dozens of people” who have threatened Palin since 2008, when she emerged on the national stage. “He stands out as the most persistent,” trying to reach her through friends, associates and family members, he said.
It’s interesting how I’ve not heard about this much in the MSM. You’d think that this would be on the major news networks. But I’ll go on a limb here and say that he’s probably being applauded as a hero in back rooms full of “compassionate” Democrats right this second.
Your MSM hardly at work and still proving that they’re a complete joke, folks.

Our news doesn’t know what is news worthy or just stupid waste of air time. Heck they can’t even tell the truth most times. Now if were Obama’s life being threatened everything would be interupted to report on it (all day) and the kid would already be caught, tried, and punished (maybe even banned from the US!?).

I agree that this guy may need to be put away, but there is a fine line in reporting on someone that may have a mental illness and what constitutes unethical reporting practices. There is great misconception within the public between people with mental health issues and those that would actually be violent. I find it interesting that you didn’t tell Mock that she was going to “get in trouble” for writing that the anti-gay dude (on a more recent post) is indeed a wackjob. Why is that? Is there some sort of leftist rule book that indeed states who falls into the “Allowed to be called Wackjob” list? I’m assuming there is, because you seem to be O.K. with the use of this word in THAT particular context.
However, for a guy that admittedly wants to end Sarah Palin’s life? Oh, well, he’s a VICTIM, of course. And therefore, me calling him a Wackjob is just, well, MEAN. And I could get in a LOT OF TROUBLE. According to Ed, anyway.
In my book, someone who hates gay people is a wackjob. In that same book, someone who wants to end someone else’s life is a wackjob. There’s no difference, but your threat was enlightening.

I have no problem equating some hatred to some sicknesses. For example, the Westboro Baptist church folks, who are FILLED with hatred, are obviously totally mental. The dude that wants to kill Palin? Mental. The Asst. AG who draws swastikas on college kids’ pictures? Mental.
