ATTENTION TOWNSPEOPLE: This Is What Pure Arrogance Looks Like.

That’s Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and she just lost her bid for re-election in Alaska because conservatives there decided they liked Tea Party candidate Joe Miller better, and so they VOTED FOR HIM. And just like Mike Castle, who can’t even be bothered to call and congratulate Christine O’Donnell for winning the primary in DE because he’s such a sore loser, Lisa Murkowski has no intention of listening to what her constituents want.
So now, according to this, she’s going to run for re-election ANYWAY, as a write-in candidate.
I’m sorry, but that’s every bit as bad as Charlie Crist going “independent” on our collective assular areas. All it does is create a 3 way battle and pull potential GOP votes away from the GOP and into her sorry, selfish lap.
Hopefully, the good folks in Alaska will be fueled and energized by her little self-pity party, and will stomp on her even more than they did in the Actual Primary.
It doesn’t even matter to her that the RNC and NRSC are telling her to back off and take her loss like a FREAKING GROWN-UP. She doesn’t care. She’s feeling spiteful and apparently just really really likes the taste of sour grapes.
People like her and Crist, who care far more about themselves than they do the people they supposedly want to represent, need to be punched in the face.

Why have people become such sore losers….They should be ashamed..My kids know better than to act like that
It’s all about control…total control.
I expect Mike Castle will do the same. Why is anyone surprised? This is coming from the generation that took all risk and reward from our kids in school.
It can be said of all of them…”I went to Washington to do good, I stayed to do well.”
I agree with you, Laurel. I think that’s why he didn’t congratulate her…the RINO is going to try to throw it to the Democrats.
While we’re at it, can someone explain to me the hollering the Dems are doing over on Christine O’Donnell’s fb page? There’s a lesbian female blasting Conservatives over the mosque flap…does she not have a clue what Muslims would do to her and her girlfriend? At least she’s not throwing the race card…she’s throwing the gay card…and as offensively as possible.
Hello…these people are being elected. ELECTED. What part of that are they not getting? One person even said they loved that the GOP and the Tea Party were tearing one another apart, that it was entertaining.
I told her she’d have gotten a real kick out of 1776.
Beth N – the hollering is even more hilarious given that Christine O’Donnell’s SISTER is a lesbian Democrat, who supports Christine wholeheartedly.
I love it! And they think it adds credibility when they say “She hates f*gs.” Sorry…just makes you look classless.
Love the unflattering pic. Captures the mood perfectly.
She looks like a stringy ole Kennedy bitch to me.
Oh, these fine elected officials?? They were NEVER about us–it was all about the power–FOR THEM. We are ancillary. Wonder what Sociopaths look like?? Look no further–unless you are looking to the DEMS.
Is there an e-mail address where we can let her know our thoughts on her total lack of class?
It should be noted, and realized, that every politician is fighting for their job. This is the power of the people. This politician is no different. She HAS to go down cussing and fighting. This is her job.
Is it tacky and unattractive? Yes.
Does understanding it make it okay? No.
It is up to the voters to not be swayed. If she goes write-in, make sure that the middle market will not be swayed.
Miller can stop this girl. The Tea Party has immense power on both the Right and the Left, and they have that because the Tea Party is fueled by the people.
This is an excellent opportunity to show that muscle.
Mrs. Murkowski, as an American citizen, has every right to run on another party ticket. Candidates from both the GOP and Dems have a very long history of changing party’s as some perceived strategic advantage…. honorable or not. Anyway, it is an Alaksan STATE election for “THEIR” citizens to decide…not a national election!
Unless FOX News doctored video yesterday, they showed Mr. Castle and Ms O’Donnell “together” on stage at some point.
So what she’s saying is, since write ins never win but do nothing more than pull votes away from their own party, she’d rather have the Democrat elected than her Republican opponent. TRUELY a sore loser !!!
What a classless winch…
Third party ticket candidates do infact win. Just to name a couple that folks can recognize.
Sen. Lieberman
Bernie Sanders
There is a long American history of third and even fourth party candidates having won…somewhere in the range of over a hundred or so. It remains a freedom in America to run on any ticket one desires for whatever their reason(s) may be.
Also, I might note that the Tea Party is certainly focused on “win” regardless of any potential consequences of strategic effects on party power in congress.
As long as she runs, she can ask for and get campaign donations. Consider this her retirement campaign. Murkowski feels entitled, not priviledged, to serve the great people of Alaska. I stopped giving to the RNC before GWB’s second term and this is a good example of why. Arrogant and out of touch. They are selling us down the river for a few pieces of silver and five minutes with Oprah. The tea party movement is a rebirth of Americanism. It’s disappointing and time consuming when we have to re-sell FREEDOM to Americans. But FREEDOM must be the message. Freedom works.
You captured her just exactly as I picture this woman. Sore looser!!!!!
Again, RM, you miss the point. No one is arguing Murkowski’s RIGHT TO RUN. We’re simply saying she’s a jerk for doing it. We get to have opinions on elections all over the country, even if we don’t get to vote in those particular races.
If your standard argument is always going to be that we shouldn’t be talking about elections we don’t get to vote on, how about we just make a note of that right now, and we’ll assume that’s what you think every time we DO discuss other state elections? It’ll save you a lot of time.
RM…
Not so. If we were focused on winning seats at any cost, Mike Castle wouldn’t be out a job.
And if we’re just focused on getting any old Republican in there, even a RINO, what will change come November other than numbers?
I love the quote Laurel
Beth you are right…
(Prop 8 70% voted AGAINST it). DOES OUR VOTE MATTER OR DOESN’T IT
The people have spoken, find some class and stand behind your team…unless of course, you were not really for the greater good…nah, that couldn’t be it.
As far as O’Donnel, her opponent is a PROFESSED marxist!! She had financial issues. (not good, but pretty common among Americans) Is this really that hard to choose, if so then our problems run way deeper
On another note, I found this the other day.
I was googling something to make a tiny little point/joke and I googled “smartest people in history”
Here is something that reminded me of how some people ALWAYS have to take a contrary position on EVERYTHING…
I give you ROSE…
WHO ARE THE SMARTEST PEOPLE IN HISTORY?
There is no way of answering this question because we have knowledge of so few of the people who have ever lived in Western Society.
Look at your choices. They all come from recorded history. Do we have any evidence to prove that the historians have not disregarded other smarter people? Where are the modern geniuses?
You also have cited only those who have reached maturity. How many of the smartest babies have died before maturity?
For me your question is too open ended and too subjective. Other peoples’ answers will be interesting.
Sometimes you can be TOO darn smart (RE: smartes babies)
smartest babies
(I on the other hand will never be accused of being too smart)
Simply amazing! I’m waking up…standing up and going to kick butt to save the rights and freedoms of the ole American constitutional ways. Then I’m going to BBQ (selectively) those who exercise those rights we’re claiming to be fighting for.
Since some have such strong personal interest positions of States own U.S. congressional races….when will we be BBQ Washburn (I) and Olson (L)? Say What!!!
RM…did you not read Mock’s response to you? WE KNOW SHE HAS THE RIGHT TO RUN. Good grief…the people who comment on this blog are not the idiots you seem to think they are. What some of us are annoyed about is her complete lack of class and well…poor sportsmanship. She appears to be a sore loser and honestly, no one likes a sore loser. She made a speech about supporting the winning candidate when she thought SHE would be that person. She doesn’t have to back Young, and she of course has the right to be a write-in candidate, but her decision to do so makes her look like a sore loser rather than a “principled” candidate who just wants to serve her constituates. I’m pretty sure the voters in AK will see through her.
JMD…”
She looks like a stringy ole Kennedy bitch to me.”
Yeah…she’s channeling one of them for sure.
I don’t choose to have the time to be irrate about some perceived sore loser. To many sore losers in the world for me to get all worked up over.
Typical woman…I guess she changed her mind.
RM – but you have all the time in the world to DEFEND her, and instead get all worked up over people who point out her classlessness?
Seems kinda counterproductive to that whole “Cure the world of its divisiveness!” message you’ve been touting.
Some people chose to, promote peace and unity and others promote mean spirited divisiviness. I wonder which is most productive? Maybe ask a soldier who’s been to war over social and political division, which he’d promote.
Riiiiight. So your snarky comment about “typical woman – I guess she changed her mind” was all about promoting peace and unity???
Give me a break. You’re every bit as hypocritical as you accuse others of being.
I gotta admit…RM’s fun to make fun of. Post something else, RM…you’re funny.
Mock…he (I assume) gave himself away…he’s obviously chosen to be divisive. Ironically, he’s created unity here. A group united in shaking their heads at his a) lunacy or b) idiocy. Take your pick.
“typical woman – I guess she changed her mind”
If you was up to speed you would know that was a borrowed line
used by both genders for at least a century or two. Nice try!
RM…in spite of your protests to the contrary, I do believe you’re a lib in sheep’s clothing here. You seem to enjoy arguing and you seem to think you’re not only more “intelligent” than the other posters here, you also seem to think you need to educate us. You are arrogant, and well…just annoying. “If you was (sic) up to speed you would know that was a borrowed line used by both genders for at least a century or two. Nice try!”…yeah…smells like an arrogant SOB to me.
Beth N…insightful!
RM…do you live in your mom’s basement?
Ego is a….well…beast.
