Palin And “HandGate”

Have you guys read about the frenzy that liberals went into over the fact that Sarah Palin wrote a couple of words on her hand for her Tea Party Convention Q&A?

If not, check this out. You all know I hate to link to Huffington Post, but it’s a perfect source in that it compiles all of the mainstream media OUTRAGE over the fact that Sarah Palin wrote 4 words on her hand. With the level of hysteria they’re having, you’d have thought she’d written, “Rahm Emanuel is retarded” on her hand or something.

And to add to the frenzy, Bobby Gibbs joined in the reindeer games. BEHOLD:

Oh Robert, you clever little man, you.

So? Score One for the White House? Of course not. It proves that she GETS to them. So much so that the freaking PRESS SECRETARY wants to try to get a dig in. WOW.

Sarah went to help campaign for Rick Perry down in Texas. And she had a little message written on her hand again:

If you zoom in, that says, “Hi Mom!” That kind of gave me the giggles. Because it just shows what an absurd thing this is for liberals to get upset over. They can’t rant and rave about something as meaningless as scribbles on Palin’s hand, and then in the same breath try to act as though she’s no threat to them whatsoever. She gives them the spooks in a big way, and the fact that they look for the most trivial stuff to criticize her for is proof of that.

Gawd.

  • Palin’s hand job just shows all of us what kind of dullard we are up against. WOW and some call her a leader….please.

  • Now, Milton. I’m going to be one of the last to defend Sarah Palin, but is this really something that matters? Does it really tell us anything? Are we pretty much OK with politicians reading entire speeches that were written by other people?

There are a few reasons to be unimpressed with Sarah Palin, this isn’t one of them.

  • so, according to lie-berals, using a teleprompter to speak to a group of 10 people like the obamasia did last week is a-ok, but 4 words on your palm is bad?

    friggin hypocrites.

  • C’mon John, give Obummer a break…….. you ever try talking to a room of grade schoolers without a telepropmter? It’s a tough room.

  • So Obi having to rely on a teleprompter in order to speak to children isn’t ridiculous… but a few words jotted on a hand is… hmmmm… bet Sarah wouldn’t mispronounce “corpsman” three times in the same speech, lol.

  • I think that she just has bullet points on her hands. That is great that she can talk off the cuff. Obama on the other “hand” needs to rely on a teleprompter to get words out of his mouth.

  • I don’t think the left-wing pundits understand. When they harp on hand-gate it is they who look like idiots. John Q. Public is starting to answer back:

  • As per usual, much ado about nothing. Way to go lefties! Keep attacking with your senselessness and she will keep becoming more and more popular.

  • Listen, the reason it’s worth noting is because Sarah Palin, as the keynote speaker at a major Tea Party event, a movement that’s trying to be a real contender on the political scene, had to literally read bullet points off of her hand to remind herself to mention tax cuts and raising American spirits during a canned question and answer session. Not during the speech, mind you, but in answering questions she was certainly given ahead of time. That’s ridiculous in and of itself, but what really makes it worth saying something about is the fact that in her $100,000 speech, minutes before, she called out Obama for using a teleprompter. If she hadn’t done that, the hipocrisy wouldn’t be quite so galring, and perhaps there would be no reason to talk about it. But she did, and it was, so Sarah, who so desperately wants to be taken seriously, deserves all the flack she gets on this one.
Incidentally, remember that Q&A Obama did with the Republicans?

The one where he didn’t know the questions before they were asked, but was still able to deliver thoughtful, eloquent answers without the aid of a teleprompter, or scribbles on his hand? Thinking on your feet, and knowing what you’re talking about, must be part of that elitist-indoctrination training they’re giving out at Harvard, I guess.

  • First the liberals were all over the Tebo ad, now Palin’s note on her hand. They seriously need to find a better cause (like how to reduce the deficit instead of add to it).

  • Megan – if you Actually Believe that this wouldn’t have been SCREAMED about by liberals had Sarah NOT made the teleprompter comment, you are more oblivious than I thought.

    Megan,

Do you know what a “murder board” is? If not… do your self a favor and look it up.

  • Wow, using an embarrassing Palin incident to attack “leftists”. Funny stuff

At most this is some well-deserved karma for Palin. Not because of the teleprompter criticism, but because she’s well-known for whining about non-events (e.g. the “retarded” comment). She’s a dolt & a dullard, but this is really small beans.

  • WOW! Based upon the liberal comments here, it just proves my point about Palin.

I find it hilarious, and deliciously hypocritical, that liberals are trying to make hay out Palin’s hand notes, yet have absolutely no problem with Obama’s multiple teleprompters. Then we have one liberal criticizing for no ‘off the cuff’ remarks, and yet if the Obama’s teleprompter fails, SO DOES HE! Now Obama is by no means the first president to use a teleprompter, but he is the first to be over the top with it, to the point that it is obscene. That is why he is getting made fun of. Palin is by no means also the first to write notes on her hand, note cards of any sort, or anything else. If you think so, then you really were born yesterday.

So far all of the Palin attacks are total nit picking and ragging, and without substance. Most people see through it. BTW…keep up the continual attacks on her, just like you did Bush, and no candidate you ever put up will get a fair shake. It’s called reaping what you sow in this world, also known as karma.

  • I wish someone would slap Robert Gibbs. You think he would have more class than to make fun of Palin like that, given his position on Obama’s staff. He is really annoying to watch.

  • Aristotle probably did murder boards before each tutoring session he had with Alexander the Great…and he probably wrote notes on his hands as well. It is as old as debating, or speechifying.

  • I can’t even believe people are upset over this when Obama can’t even open his mouth without a teleprompter in front of him….The hypocrisy is just unbelievable….

  • Laurel did a brilliant smack-down. LOL

  • At the risk of being accused of repeating myself: Oh, Megan…dear Megan….

  • I love how lefties attack a private citizen with a few words jotted on her hand, but give their elected Messiah a free pass after addressing school kids with 2 teleprompters. Heck he can’t even READ his teleprompters. Hello… corpseman????
