Awww….I just loved him. He was such a great man.
I just finished reading Tear Down This Wall: A City, A President and the Speech That Ended the Cold War by Romesh Ratnesar. It was a great book, but the epilogue sucked. The author compares Obama to Reagan and states that he believes that Obama has a long road ahead of him, but will be as great of a president as Reagan was. He also says that he believes that if Obama and Reagan were to meet, they would see in each other “kindred spirits”. :insert eye roll here:
Yet one more reason my son’s middle name is Reagan!!!
My daughter is having lunch today with Michael Reagan in honor of Reagan’s birthday. I still miss Reagan, and often wonder if this how people felt when Washington died.
What we are seeing today with the tea party movement is the ascendancy of Reagan conservatism from traditional Americans, and it is on the rise. I love listening to the media trying to define it and miss the mark just about every time, including FOX news.
