More Of That Compassion Stuff From The Party Of Political Correctness…

Remember that whole Special-Olympics thing that Obama so nonchalantly slung around on the Jay Leno show back in March? Basically, he was an insensitive jerk.

And now, his buddy Rahm is on the same wavelength. According to this, Emmanuel openly called liberal democrats “F—ing retarded.”

Nice, huh?

Sarah Palin had this comment to make on her Facebook page:

I would ask the president to show decency in this process by eliminating one member of that inner circle, Mr. Rahm Emanuel, and not allow Rahm’s continued indecent tactics to cloud efforts. Yes, Rahm is known for his caustic, crude references about those with whom he disagrees, but his recent tirade against participants in a strategy session was such a strong slap in many American faces that our president is doing himself a disservice by seeming to condone Rahm’s recent sick and offensive tactic.

The Obama Administration’s Chief of Staff scolded participants, calling them, “F—ing retarded,” according to several participants, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.

Just as we’d be appalled if any public figure of Rahm’s stature ever used the “N-word” or other such inappropriate language, Rahm’s slur on all God’s children with cognitive and developmental disabilities – and the people who love them – is unacceptable, and it’s heartbreaking.

A patriot in North Andover, Massachusetts, notified me of Rahm’s “retarded” slam. I join this gentleman, who is the father of a beautiful child born with Down Syndrome, in asking why the Special Olympics, National Down Syndrome Society and other groups condemning Rahm’s degrading scolding have been completely ignored by the White House. No comment from his boss, the president?

Of course, Emanuel has since “apologized” for his remark, which is another complete joke of a statement and the White House spewed some garbage about how they’re committed to the advancement of people with mental disabilities or some complete crap like that – that they obviously don’t mean.

The lack of sincerity is palpable, really.

Hey Dems – your hypocrisy is showing. AGAIN.

GAWD.

  • More Chicago thuggery from the oh so compassionate left. I would also like to know what leadership studies he has done since screaming and yelling, let alone ridicule is not leadership.

  • While I definitely do not agree with Mr. Emmanuel’s choice of words, the overall sentiment of his statement carries a great deal of weight.

  • I wouldn’t consider Rahm to be part of the “left”. He’s a corporate DLC thug. Not liberal in any sense, but a hardcore partisan.

  • You ain’t heard or seen nuttin’ folks. You ought to glom onto Rahm’s brother Ezekial, who makes Rahm seem like a pre-kindergartener. Zeke’s tender mercies (not) are shaping the REAL Health Care Reform. You know, the one that the bureaucrats will really employ. Think Josef Mengele

  • “Think Josef Mengele”

That’s a little over the top, don’t you think?

  • Fox News is now reporting that Rahm Emmanuel is about to make a public apology about this whole thing.

I’ve been thinking about it a little more lately and it’s utterly inexcusable. I know it’s a small mistake in a meeting. But that’s not a mistake he’s allowed to make. I can’t make that mistake. If I called someone “retarded” in my classroom or in a meeting, there’s a chance I’d get canned. A good chance. He’s the White House Chief of Staff. That position demands better.

  • Mock–first, those quotes are taken entirely out of context (big surprise). Read the whole passage before making judgments. Secondly, this obviously does not compare with a Nazi doctor who experimented on Jews. This kind of rhetoric is what makes people laugh at (at distance themselves from) “wingnuts”

  • PS: Try reading Ezekiel’s books. They are not out of context.

  • Does he advocate for experimenting on patients against their will in his book?

  • Congratulations, PS. You’re back to being a turd. (Note, I used a “u” there carefully.)

How about we all just face left, cough three times and admit that Papa may have invoked some hyperbole? Would that get you off your tiny little high horse?

PS, once again substituting a side point in lieu of a MASSIVE F-UP by yet another dolt in the Obama Administration. Obfuscation at its best.

  • If you notice, my first comment was in response to the post. My next comment was in reply to another comment. As far as I know, commenting on other comments is well within the rules.

It’s interesting that you didn’t read Papa Kilo the riot act, when he clearly commented off topic (notice that nothing in the original post mentions Rahm’s brother).

  • I see, it’s not fair because I wasn’t as mean to someone else as I was to you. (High School kids make that complaint a lot.) Also, it seems to me that your first comment was only barely on topic. The topic was Rahm’s lapse in judgment. You considered that an opening to tell us all that Rahm isn’t a lefty. Do you happen to also know how good he is at golf?

    Fair enough.

Papa, we weren’t talking about Zeke, just Rahm. And (though I think this is fairly obvious and doesn’t really require saying since I’m fairly sure you don’t really think Zeke is THAT bad) I think you might be going overboard a bit.

Now, do you feel better PS?

  • Back to Palin’s comment, I’d be ecstatic if Obama actually DID fire Rahm.

    dawg–buzz off, you’re a hypocrite
