This is an Actual Headline: “McCaskill still working toward goal of reading the healthcare bill.”
Apparently, it’s Big News when a Senator (D-MO in this case) actually reads legislation that they’re voting on. Big enough news, at least, to warrant a news article with that headline. And the article goes on to say that McCaskill has also “read the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee bill in preparation for August’s town hall.”
Awww. Wasn’t that nice of her? Perhaps we should send her a cookie basket or something. You know, for her efforts.
Wow! I almost did a spit-take when I saw that!
Is that in her IEP, that she “tries” to read the legislation!?
But does she comprehend the reading material?
