The Washington Post reported on a provision in the health reform bill that would give the state of Louisiana – whose Senator, Mary Landrieu, is indecisive on health reform – $300 million.
This is called a big ol’ fat bribe, but Dems will call it something else semantically-correct and full of rainbows, kittens, and sunshine, I’m sure.
What I’d like to know is if we’re in so much debt and Obama and Reid and Pelosi and all the other stooges think this legislation is so “deficit NEUTRAL,” then how is it so darn easy to just throw $300 million at someone for a single vote? And if you’re having to shell out this much just to get ONE STUPID VOTE, then maybe your plan kind of sucks monkey poo. I don’t know about you guys, but $300 million is SORT of a lot of money. In fact, I myself wouldn’t mind seeing some of that $300 million back in my own paycheck. Sort of like a Christmas bonus, if you will…
Watch as CNN’s John King makes Sen. Sherrod Brown and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen squirm at first, only to regain their obviously fake composure and dance around the notion that Obamacare is all about buying votes and doing what it takes to “HELP” people (even though more than half of us don’t want this damn thing).
I could just be hormonal, but their arrogance makes me want to punch both of them in the face.

It’s not a bribe it’s a “compromise”.
Anonymous….that’s riiiiiight. A “compromise.”
Much better.
I read about that before. Oh this is important so it’s OK.
There is no swaying the a-hole Sherrod Brown. He is not up for election until 2012 and he could not care less what the people in Ohio want. He has made it clear he is behind the garbage all the way. He is a freaking idiot. Our other Senator is a “So called” republican (Voinovich) that is retiring and he didn’t even vote on it. Not that it would have mattered with their 60 votes anyway but he seems more like a lib on too many issues. With a few exceptions, Ohio has some screwed up politicians.
Brown and Shaheen were discomposed by a “why didn’t I think of that” moment. They too could have sold their vote if they hadn’t been such kool aid drinkers they ran to get ahead of the wagon. That teachable moment will cost all of us downstream.
GREAT POINT, PAPA!!!
Basically, the leadership has hung out the shingle to say they are in business. Unreal.
I agree with Buckeye Bob Sherod Brown is a huge a-hole and a bribe would be SOP for these folks and that is why they need to go we need real change VOTE them out keep a score card and all those representives that keep screwing us need to go.
Welcome to the deal makers and deal breakers, also known as the ‘cesspool’ of politics. If you think this is bad wait until you figure out what those damn committees do.
