In Japanese culture it is a sign of respect towards someone who bows, in Chinese culture it is a sign of someone lower then you and you bow towards that. So in each part of Asia bowing is different...Asia has many different cultures and if the Japanese were being compared to Chinese people...they would get angry. So in ending this argument....Asia has many different cultures and has many different meanings on what you do.
