Sarah: Also I am not trivializing anyone’s pain. I know all about abuse and what goes with it. However it is bad decisions, one on top of the other, that lead one into getting into that situation to begin with. Everyone has a responsibility in about 99% of every given situation in life, including victims. It is not about blame, it is about accepting responsibility and learning from mistakes so they aren’t repeated. My heart goes out to the victim, but no one is totally truly innocent.

And as I said, you don’t fix a bad decision with another bad decision, and aborting a baby is aborting what is truly innocent. I also believe that if we had more respect for life at all levels you would see a lot less abuse in this world. We need to teach respect once again in this country.

I am going back to school to be a social worker. I know, a conservative social worker? Sounds like an oxymoron.

Anyway, I am curious, what is this woman’s education background? Even if she doesn’t have a social services degree of some type, she should know how crucial confidentiality is to patients and providers. According to the Salon article, she was violating many patient and provider privacy rights.

I seriously hope this is not the case, and is just a way that the left is spinning the story.

Anyway… I JUST had my baby, that was unplanned and conceived out of wedlock (to a pro-choice Momma, no less).

But, I gotta say, I’m glad I kept her.

However, I hope this woman isn’t putting the medical providers in this clinic at risk… Two wrongs do not make a right. If you really want to put an end to abortion, more death is not the answer.

I’ve been trying to post a link to salon.com that has a VERY different version of what is going down with this employee. The lawsuit is because she is accused of stealing confidential information on the employees. And in the wake of an abortion provider’s murder, this could be very dangerous. Don’t know why it won’t let me post but I encourage you all to read up on it and see that this woman is really a hypocrite no matter what side you are on on this topic.

Here is the other side of the story. She actually is being sued for possibly haven stolen confidential information about the abortion provider. In case you forgot, one was killed very recently and this is a very large threat. I encourage you all to read the article for you to see the hypocrisy of this particular employee. I don’t care what side you are on, she is a hypocrite.

Good for you Laurel, I am glad that you were able to make it work for you. Unfortunately saying “maybe she should have been more careful about her choices in men” is victim blaming, and its not a good argument. Like I said, she realized and did get out of the relationship. But having grown up seeing my mother in an abusive relationship, I assure you its not as easy as you are making it sound. Just because you say it so cut and dry, doesn’t mean that it is. There is a heavy amount of mental manipulation that occurs that renders an otherwise smart person almost defenseless at times. These women often fear for their lives, and sometimes lose them to abusive men. Please don’t trivialize the pain that goes along with these relationships. Just because you were able to do well with your situation doesn’t mean that others have the same ability.
