In the age of YouTube, you kind of have to watch the stuff that slips out of your flapping piehole. Much like Anita Dunn’s adoration for Tse-Tung also caught on video, this little beauty is a nifty look into the inner workings of the Obama administration’s communication tactics.
Speaking to the Dominican government in a videotaped news conference (below), Dunn pretty much said that the White House’s press tactic is, well, control. Obama and his buddies prefer to “control” the media rather than let the media report that kooky thing called the truth.
And, unless you have your head up your assular region, you know that the reason that the Obama administration is so scared of hates Fox News so much is because they ask questions. Unlike the 50 other jokes that call themselves “news” programs, FOX chooses not to kiss Obama’s butt – and Obama can’t control that like he seems to do so effortlessly with the other lobotomized drones. And that’s precisely what makes him and his little buddies all pissy.
Well, WAAAH, you little girlie girls.
Here are some gems from the video:
“Very rarely did we communicate through the press anything that we didn’t absolutely control,” said Dunn.
“One of the reasons we did so many of the David Plouffe videos was not just for our supporters, but also because it was a way for us to get our message out without having to actually talk to reporters,” said Dunn, referring to Plouffe, who was Obama’s chief campaign manager.
“We just put that out there and made them write what Plouffe had said as opposed to Plouffe doing an interview with a reporter. So it was very much we controlled it as opposed to the press controlled it,” Dunn said.
Continued Dunn: “Whether it was a David Plouffe video or an Obama speech, a huge part of our press strategy was focused on making the media cover what Obama was actually saying as opposed to why the campaign was saying it, what the tactic was. … Making the press cover what we were saying.”
The transparent hypocrisy is so palpable, it’s just mind-boggling to me that liberals don’t get insulted by this watered-down, “we’re so much smarter than you because we’re the government” mentality. Absolutely pathetic.
But naaaaah……they don’t have an agenda or anything. Just keep on guzzling the Kool-Aid and it’ll all go away.
Aaaand, I think I just vomited a little in my mouth. Again.
I’m still stunned they admitted it. It’s amazing the things people will say when at a perceived friendly venue and the guard is let down.
To me, all of those quotes indicate that the Obama administration tried to keep foot-in-mouth moments to a minimum, as well as enhance the chances that what’s actually said (which is news) will be reported, rather than the spin on what’s said (which is opinion).
If Obama’s so paranoid about foot-in-mouth moments, perhaps he should be thinking about replacing his communications staff.
At BEST, this was their way of avoiding tough questions. To think otherwise is to just give them a pass. No reason to be afraid of interviews unless you know the public isn’t going to like what you have to say.
And avoidance and manipulation techniques to try to steer interviews and conversations in a positive way for yourself?
If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck…
That’s called control.
Sounds like some people on here are already “controlled” by obamama. They will come up with ANY excuse to explain his radical ways. They will ignore all his czars he has placed around him. It is sad to see how stupid some people will be.

There’s a whole lot of polarizing going on in Obama’s America. Unity is out, apparently. Polarization is still in. And Rush Limbaugh and Fox News are the new Bush.
One would need to be a complete ninny outfitted with blinders and earplugs not to know this by now.
One blaring truth rears its ugly head to any open-minded person who takes a hard look at Barack Obama’s personal and political history. His history is shot clear through with polarizing effects, both intentional and unintentional.
One might almost say that Barack Obama was a born polarizer.

Well said DM!
I don’t believe people have blinders on, I believe they agree with Obama and his Czars, and are socialist/communist. It is not a matter of blinders, it is a matter of admitting it. The negative connotations that go with certain words, and with good reason, like ‘socialist’, ‘communist’, and ‘liberal’, makes them run in fear despite the fact that is what they are. Words mean something, and despite the fact people casually try to change the definitions, they just can’t seem to make it stick.
Where you get duplicity is in the media, and that even includes FOX, who refuses to admit Obama is at the very least socialist. For example, O’Reilly has continually said he wouldn’t call Obama socialist, yet last night said to Brit Hume that he is left of the center left! Simply amazing. They might as well call him exactly what he is since he isn’t going to give them the time of day regardless of the butt kissing going on.
