You know why? Because apparently, they have a problem with the American flag. So much so, in fact, that they are banning residents from displaying the stars and stripes anywhere on the complex grounds, because the American flag “symbolizes problems.” And, “someone might get offended” by it.
Oregon is still part of the United States, is it not? I mean, they haven’t been bought out in secret by an American-hating country, have they?
You guys, you should BOMBARD their office with calls of outrage. LIGHT UP their switchboard. Here’s the number: (541) 967-1284.

People think California is screwed up, and it is, but it doesn’t even come close to the level of Oregon. Oregon, as my neighbor, is the land where the far left meets the far right, and is some kind of weird vortex for weird people.
Their state motto should be “The land of communes and compounds!”
BTW…did you guys catch that you couldn’t even have a bumper sticker of the flag on your car?
I hope the residents ban together en mass and see if the apartment complex has the gonads to evict every single one of them, and with Oregon’s economy, which was bad when everyone else was doing good, good luck filling those vacancies.

Megan, My guess would be the obvious. A store that is so proud to be showing a sign with the outline of Mexico and the colors of Mexico that says Mexican store is a good indicator that this could be a neighborhood with a lot of Mexicans. In other neighborhoods with large Mexican populations there have also been problems with our flag. It seems as though some people don’t realize they are in the USA and complain about our flag. This is an indicator that it could be the problem here. I have no problem with the mexican store, I love mexican food but the fact is right there. One business is allowed to show loud and proud they are Mexican (even though they are in America) but someone is evidently complaining in the same neighborhood about displaying our American flag. That, I have a real problem with. It seems as though things are a little backward.
I just got through on the phone and got a recorded message. The woman left a message that stated someone was flying a flag from another country and she was trying to stop a conflict so she made a policy to ban all flags. She stated she has since rescinded the policy. There was some more mumbling but it was kind of hard to make it all out. Sounds like her phone has been a little busy.
So, she banned ALL flags because it would have been BEASTLY of her to show a preference for the flag of her own country – great liberal thinking!
