Apologizing (again) – this time for not “making progress fast enough,” Bo talked to 3,000 people at the annual dinner of the Human Rights Campaign last Saturday night – a civil rights advocacy group. He pledged, “I will end ‘don’t ask-don’t tell,’” to a standing ovation from the crowd.
He went on to say, “My expectation is that when you look back on these years you will look back and see a time when we put a stop against discrimination … whether in the office or the battlefield.”
Aaaaaand, then, of course he offered absolutely no specifics as to how he’d actually reach this lofty goal and put no timeline out.
No matter, though. Because Lady Gaga sang, so all was well with the world. Proving once again that style and pop culture win over substance these days. Yay!

I just tossed my Lady Gaga CD in the trash. I also stopped going to movies as I refuse to give any of my money to brainless stars who think they are experts on political issues.
Lady Gaga makes me want to spew.
I actually can’t stand to watch any other news outlets (NBS, CBS, MSNBC or CNN) because of the way they fawn over BO.
I’m sorry, folks. Park your indignation and bask in the hilarity. These people are so freaking fun to watch. I love anyone who wears what Lady Gaga wears and still takes themselves seriously about ANYTHING.
There is an entire generation of people struggling with the idea that your appearance can impact your credibility.
“Yeah, I plan on being a corporate lawyer.”
“That’s pretty impressive. So, what’s that on your neck?”
“Oh, it’s a sweet tattoo of a cat taking a dump! Check it out! Awesome, right!? I got it done right after I started stretching out my ear piercing holes.”
Obviously, those who like Lady Gaga also drank the Kool-Aide…. is that a man or a woman? Not too sure!
