ACORN’S Version Of An “Independent Review”

If you’re a fan of Chicks On The Right on Facebook, you might recall that just a day or two ago, I told you that Bertha Lewis released a statement saying that ACORN was going to suspend operations (specifically new client intake) while they conducted an “independent review” of their operations.

And many of you laughed at that news, because you knew that ACORN’s version of “independent review” would likely just mean that Bertha herself would conduct an internal audit and then announce that everything was aaaaaaall taken care of and perfect and legit.

Well, you were pretty close.  According to this, the list of folks who have been put in charge of the review include:

1.  John Podesta – John heads up the Center for American Progress (funded with Soros money) .  Coincidentally, that organization has been feverishly working on restoring the good name (snort) of ACORN by doing damage control against all of the negative accusations that have been levied against them.  

2.  Kathleen Kennedy Townsend – Kathleen used to be Lt. Gov. of MD.  Maryland Lt. Gov.  Coincidentally, she’s been vocal about her belief that the accusations of voter fraud against ACORN ar nothing more than a “desperate smokescreen maneuver” by the GOP.

3.  Andrew Stern – Andrew is the International President of the SEIU.  Coincidentally, ACORN controls several SEIU chapters.

4.  Henry Cisneros – Henry used to be the HUD Secretary.  Coincidentally, he pled guilty to lying to the FBI when embroiled in a politically embarassing incident. 

So it turns out that ACORN is really good at something after all – specifically, seeking out the most biased and unobjective people in the history of the world to do their audit.  You almost have to give them credit for lining up such a stellar group of folks.   I’m surprised they didn’t just rehire the folks who were busted in the O’Keefe videos as independent contract reviewers.  It would have been equally objective.
