Speaking Of Lying…

obama-liar

I love this article in the American Thinker today. It ties in nicely with yesterday’s entry on him lying, as well as the other gazillion entries we’ve put out here on COTR to call the President out on his lying and absolute void of accountability for doing so.

The quote at the beginning of the article says it all, really:

“A lie told often enough becomes truth.” – Vladimir Lenin

What Obama does is not Clinton’s “likeable information,” but rather he has a true gift of boldface lying. He’s a “special breed” of liar. Lenin once said, “Medicine is the keystone in the arch of socialism.” To embark upon such an ambitious project that has yet failed at every attempt, President Obama must lie, since it is clear that a sizeable majority opposes his healthcare reform.

And, when he’s caught in a lie, he lies again to cover the first, second, and third lies. It’s a lying avalanche, really. And people BUY it.

According to the author, the authentic Socialist is not driven by morality or truth, but by the end that justifies the means. Here are all the lovely little healthcare lie examples the author gives to support his hypothesis:

  • Obama says he doesn’t want a single payer system – but yet, he’s HE’S BEEN FILMED saying that he wants a single payer system. Um, OK.
  • He says, “You will not be waiting in any lines,” but Section 1151 of HR 3200 penalizes hospitals for the costs incurred in readmitting patients, permitting the Health and Human Services Secretary to “reduce” payments to hospitals for readmission, a decision likely to force the sick out into the cold.
  • He ridicules right-wing people for talking about death panels, but they actually exist under another bill introduced by the Obama Administration. Still, he’ll flat-out say that they don’t exist at all. Alrighty then.
  • He says that private insurance won’t be affected and those of us who have insurance will be able to keep it. What he lies about is the fact that individual Americans will only be allowed to obtain private plans for a 5 year grace period, and government plans will become the default should citizens switch employers.
  • He says that 46 million Americans are not covered. LIE. The real number, when you boil out all the illegal aliens, people who choose not to get insurance, and dependents – is 5 million.
  • He said that a bureaucrat won’t get in between me and my coverage, but then he acted as though he had a freakin’ medical degree when responding to a townhall participant, saying that “Look, there may be — in nine out of 10 cases, the generic might work as well or better than the brand name. And we don’t want to just subsidize the drug companies if you’ve got one that works just as well as another.” Isn’t he the highest level of bureacracy? Just checking.
  • And, my personal favorite lie is his ridiculous, DELUSIONAL claim that this whole healthcare thing is going to REDUCE THE DEFICIT. Anyone with Actual Brains knows that this is impossible. Simply and utterly impossible. Just ask the CBO.

The author ends with a pretty creepy quote basically about how people WANT SO BADLY to believe him, so they will.  And they continue to do so.  Like sweet little lobotomized lemmings…

I wonder what it’s like to have absolutely no conscience whatsoever….

Lenin had another term for those people. He called them ‘useful idiots’. Very appropriate.

Glad to see someone out there in this country sees what I see in regards to Chairman Obama, however hollow the victory may be.

It’s all very annoying and troubling, but what is the motivation? Why is he doing this? Is he a true believer in that system who is dumb enough to think it will really work?

    OR

Is he just diabolical? And if so, why? What’s the goal? I just refuse to accept that the guy is pure evil. That’s ridiculous.

MD: A person can be subversive without being evil. And we all know what the road to hell is paved with.
