According to this, Nancy Pelosi has actually shown good judgment about something.
I am not making this up. She was, as much as I am amazed and astounded to admit it, right about something. It is for this reason that I felt she deserved TWO photos to be posted instead of just the measly one that we typically afford everyone else.
Anyway, Pelosi basically sort of squashed Representative Sheila Jackson Lee’s idea to have an Actual House Resolution to celebrate and honor Michael Jackson. She said, “A resolution, I think, would open up to contrary views to — that are not necessary at this time to be expressed in association with a resolution whose purpose is quite different.”
I have to hand it to her. I would have simply said, “This is quite possibly one of the dumbest ideas in the history of Congress” and then asked for Sheila Jackson Lee’s immediate resignation.
Obviously Nancy is much more gracious than I am.
i’m shocked too. nancy actually saying something that makes sense….but, she did leave the door open by saying “…at this time…”.
As I predicted Sheila Jackson Lee went to the funeral on the taxpayer dime!
Apparently sheila has nothing Nancy wants at this moment in time. I expect to see this resolution come up again.

Yes, I’m with Nancy on this one. It happens every now and then. It’s just to remind you that she does have some sense. Even if she only uses it rarely.
