So if you are mad that we’ve used something of yours, then please write us at either mockarena@chicksontheright.com or daisy@chicksontheright.com and let us know, and we will happily remove whatever item you are upset about, or give you piles of credit and write posts in your honor or even a haiku. We are really accommodating like that.
Plus, you should know that we are NOT JOURNALISTS. We are not here to break news or report hot-off-the-presses information. We are simply here to tell you what we think about stories that have already broken.

We welcome comments from both conservatives and liberals alike, and are highly tolerant of heated debate, provided that it doesn’t denigrate into piles of insults. I stumbled upon your website in search of an article for my civics class but instead found a website devoted to belittling others who have a different opinion than yours. You and this site are neither cute nor funny. Your narrow minded and simplistic view of politics, economic legislation, values et al. is troubling to say they least.

Kyle – You know what’s awesome? When you come to a forum to decry how belittling it is by belittling its owners. That is awesome. Here’s a suggestion – If you have an opposing viewpoint, SAY IT, instead of simply saying, “You’re narrow minded and simplistic!” and “You’re not cute or funny!” When you do nothing but hurl insults, you end up without a shred of credibility.
Now, you’ll have to excuse me while I don’t lose a second of sleep over your opinion.
What exactly is “constructive” or “productive” about maintaining a circlejerk on issues where everyone who visits this site regularly believe the same way? If you want actual discourse on topics you could start by trying to create an open and inviting atmosphere. Buttons like “Hippies Smell” is both condescending to those on the left and lowers you to the level of the people who would come here simply to insult you. And I know you won’t “lose a second of sleep” over my opinions, but it really shows a lack of actual thought being put into anything when your headlines are nothing but insults and “yay, conservatism!” And that’s not meant to be an insult. It’s meant to be a statement of observation. If you’re insulted by it, then I suggest growing a thicker skin before opening sections for comments on a public website.
Mike – if you had even bothered to read comments here over the last several days, you’d see that we DO have liberals commenting here, so apparently we’re sufficiently open and inviting. But thanks for your concern.
Re: our category headings. There is this thing called snark. You might look into it. And if it’s not your cup of tea, that’s cool. There’s like a zillion other sites that take great pains not to offend the very sensitive and politically correct left. Here? We just call ‘em like we see ‘em.

Well, thank god the racists and Jesus-”loving” fundamentalists have a place to discuss the next way they’re going to screw over poor people and minorities while still handing out corporate welfare checks to the people who ruined our economy. Wouldn’t want “political correctness” to get in the way flag-waving, freedom(TM) loving, rednecks.
